  1. Hi! I have this on Ebay at present: https://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-NORTHERN-FUNK-CROSSOVER-SOUL-Mickey-Ernie-Hot-Line-Music-Journal-/200726836636?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item2ebc40759c#ht_500wt_1361 Thanks!
  2. Whenever I see 'soul for sale' i always get excited thinking it's going to be the Geronimo 45!! It never is.
  3. I have another copy of this 45 at VG++ (just shy of EX) which I can let go for £170. Very rare DC uptempo funk group soul crossed with a sought after sweet side. Can supply sound clip from a beaten up copy, needless to say NOT from the copy for sale. Usually seen in VG or less. Funk side: https://www.divshare....ad/16247559-02c Sweet side:
  4. FOR SALE - Mickey & Ernie 'Baby I'm In Love' Hotline Music Journal - rare Michigan soul funk EX £220 has had plays from Soul Sam, and Club Function amongst others. FOR SALE - Chuck Colbert ' Stay' Callier rare funk soul M- £120 - Lots of plays for this recently.
  5. Funk You had one a while back - that wasn't in great condition either. The flip of this is brilliant.
  6. Both titles on this label seem rock hard to find....
  7. Hello mate - i meant on the soul scene - anything like this I would of assumed was really well known in funk circles. Are you coming on Sat btw?
  8. Antonio Castro - awesome - Paul Sadot used to play this frequently?
  9. Ross is apparently the first issue but anyone know how far apart the two releases are, the second being Sac Soul City? Thanks J
  10. Thought as much - thanks Boba.....
  11. I've got one and seen them for sale on here for about £160 odd. All seem to have the USA pen marker both sides - a clean one must be rare? Also I thought it was listed on Dave's site as Baby Huey on Breakthrough - either super rare or a mistake? Baby Huey & The Babysitters - Just Being Careful - Breakthrough H 1001 - £1200
  12. Butch played 'So Glad...' at Cleggy a few years back in the main room and it sounded proper good
  13. Jimmy Lomax is awesome!
  14. This is definitely solid as r&s 45s go - think the Bernard Moore on Lark just edges it though. Couldn't complain on either of them though - soulful, gritty and rare.
  15. Sleeps> https://www.illbeatnik.com/music.php?MID=197 Good price on Ron too!!
  16. Am I the only one that likes Joe Jama then??

  18. Really interested to hear what goes down as it happens...roll on the 26th. Marcus will certainly bring in some new blood from the mod scene who seem to be digging the funkier soul and r&b sounds at the moment. Should be a varied and interesting night!

  20. Would of thought Harvey Scales would of gone past £1k.....
  21. Hi Phil -happy NY! Shame to hear about Gwen Owens - love that as well. It's 'orrible when a 45 you really rate like these two seems to fall on deaf ears, whether you're playing them or in the crowd with everyone else. George 'Juke' Byrd 'I Know I'm In Love With You' is another for me.....cannot understand why people don't want to dance to it at all. Maybe it IS sh!t?!
