  1. "£350 is probably about right..........hard one to find though.............been on my wants list for some time ! Anybody got one they want to get rid of ?" Cheers for the info..... Join the queue!
  2. JD Abram, great record and the flip is even better!
  3. Thanks for the info! Is this the same Intensions as The Uptite/Uptown/Kent group or are they different?
  4. Flip is a nice soul cut as well. I think Alan used to spin it sometimes at the Capitol?
  5. I think the flip of this is a version of 'I Just Can't Win'? Kenny Burrell play...any info on price or availability would be greatly appreciated...... Cheers!
  6. Played lots in mod clubs. Remember hearing it at Shotgun a lot. Great record.....is it on the UK King (pale blue with the lettering in dark crowns) or the US King that had a UK counterpart? ie. Mary Love? As I thought the two labels were actually different? UK King label: https://www.popsike.com/php/detaildatar.php?itemnr=2550076213 UK issue mary love: https://www.popsike.com/php/detaildatar.php...nr=250037779589
  7. Does anyone know what this goes for at the moment? Been after it for ages.....
  8. Ray Pettis is an awesome organ slice of moody r&s......always wondered why this never became a huge record on the mod scene (or maybe it has now)....someone buy it quick.....
  9. think it was changing hands a few years back at nearly a ton on the mod scene...might be wrong tho
  10. Blimey the amount of r&b records I've sold for way too cheap....first Teddy Mack now this!!
  11. Are they insinuating that the Brits who have travelled to America to put on soul nights are merely doing it to stake an early claim abroad over the big boys or 'mentors' back home?! Or do they mean that there are shadowy Americans who have been feeding these records through to us Brits for years, and that these are the real 'mentors'.....pulling the strings of the whole dastardly scheme!? Sounds like a case for Grassy Knollington, Conspiracy Theorist....
  12. Tough to find on Cyclone but even harder on blue Progress. The flip 'Hot Dog' has a shit title but is great if you are into rockin' r&b....plenty of rasping horns and screaming vocals
  13. Got a issue of this bunged in free as 'packing filler' when i got my Little Tommy through a few years ago!
  14. I think it is better on Winner too, the Twinight dosen't have the same raw appeal or the same edgy production. Sounds like a different singer too!
  15. Steve Aldo 'You're Absolutely Right' on the same label is another superb British soul cut, and much more uptempo. I think The Apollas did the origional?
  16. Can't believe what Teddy Mack went for!
  17. Temptests 'I Cried For You?'
  18. ps. Paul - Johnny McCall...what a record! Stunning...whats this fetching nowadays?
  19. The Ohio Players version of 'Love Slipped....' is completely superior to the Sam Williams imho....the vocals are truly outstanding.... Other amazing Tony Middleton cuts are 'Return To Spanish Harlem' on Speed which pips 'Spanish Maiden' for me (and the flip is also great) which was big on mod dancefloors a while back and pretty tough....also 'Drifting' (on UA I think?) which whilst not a dancer has some hair-raisingly good vocals from Tone.
  20. I have this on RCA and I believe it also came out on Shield.....whats the first issue of it? Great record as J-Brew said
