  1. More than offset with lots of great records played at that time as well. The late 70's yellow Grapevine label is the true Casino Classics label! Not that record label travesty of Winstanley's. Tomangoes, Al Williams, Larry Clinton, Billy Hambric, Lester Tipton, Betty Boo, Dena Barnes, The Agents, Sam Williams, Jimmy Burns, Delights, Morris Chestnut, Duke Browner and many more, all very popular at the Casino! Just about all the yellow Grapevine releases were based on records that were big at Wigan at that time.
  2. Every time I tried to get something repaired on warranty, they said it's wear and tear, so that's not covered !
  3. Great condition on this Northern Soul original USA 45. Mint- £375 + £10 fully insured. Top picture is record for sale.
  4. That demo design is like my copy. There is also a cream label with brown on the left hand side demo. Also a green label with brown on the left hand side demo, all distributed by Liberty Records. Then there's the black issue copies. Maybe different pressing plants?
  5. I've got Joe Murphy and Little Milton's "So Blue(without you)"records. But they don't sound like the Wade Flemons track to me. I thought maybe you knew of a Joe Murphy version of "I Can't Get Away From Your Love".
  6. What Joe Murphy?
  7. I don't think "My World Is On Fire" is super rare, but it's such a great record that the demand always has, and does, outstrip demand. A lot of copies will be coming from of ageing collectors, as it's going for strong money. "Saving My Loving For You" Peoples Choice is a great record as well. But they are different records that happen to be on the same label, so why does any record sell for more than another! When records are as good as these, I just like them all.
  8. Interesting info and great picture. Also as most will know, "Stick To Me" Robert Walker was a popular play on the nighter circuit back in the early to mid 70's. Richard Searling included it on his 1976 RCA L.P. Jumping At The Go Go.
  9. I'm pleased no one knows his true identity. It's good to have some mystery and unknown's in these times when the internet let's everyone know just about everything at their fingertips!
  10. Mint condition. £20 all in, includes tracked postage. Record On Hold.
  11. Mint- condition. £8 all in. Includes postage.
  12. Rare and desirable original of this great record. Very rarely turns up for sale especially in this nice condition. £400 plus £10 fully insured delivery. Condition is Mint- my top grade.
  13. Maybe because The Ambers was a very popular sound at Wigan Casino all-nighters at that time. Ronnie Walker was a popular play at Wigan as well, I think for the great DJ Mr Dave Evison.
  14. Over £1000 is a high price for a rare but inferior version of "The Same Old Thing" by The Olympics. This version sounds duller, and has less of an exciting production, than the standard released classic to me. I suppose it's something different to play!

  16. I remember when a girl on the dancefloor near me had a fan that she accidently dropped a few times. I think I was meant to be gallant and pick it up for her! But she was trouble, so I didn't take the bait
  17. Maybe it will be good to re-engineer existing records? Take out instrumental backing sounds or vocals that detract from the song. Conversely we could add an extra chorus or an extra instrumental break? Overall I would rather it wasn't used and we just had the existing records. But as we have found out with the internet, the genie can't be put back in the bottle?
  18. Lots of 45's are off centre. Some more than others. If it's only a little bit and it plays ok I usually accept it. If it's excessive and very noticeable, I would send it back or buy another copy. If just playing it at home you could offset the record to make it play true, but it's a bit of a fiddle. Sellers should mention condition faults like warps and off-centre in their descriptions. A lot of the copies of Roy Roberts on Tina are off centre. Some are ok, these one's must have been pressed before the screws on the machine worked loose.
  19. It's not a record I have ever been keen on, but there are worse records that are wasting vinyl. An example being I have a mint, beautiful looking, ZTSC stamped blue Dearborn issue of a horrible country & western record. How I have wished it would turn into the Silky Hargraves goodie!
  20. Yes it exists, as mentioned above. My mate bought a copy in 1978 on an issue. It doesn't turn up very often and used to be relatively high priced.
  21. I listed them as a bit of interest for people who don't normally look at Brady's auctions. I would have liked to have presented it better, but I can't see it has done any harm to anyone! The informative Ebay Highlights section on this site lists up and coming auctions before the auction had finished, so not much difference.
  22. I hope you are going to say the same when John Manship auctions are put up on here. People can get a link to Manships site and get the finishing prices direct!
  23. Not sloppy but informative. If someone wants something they can bid now, even though some of the auction's are not finished until next week. Pat Brady has some great records on auction, and I just wanted to give them a bit of recognition, as some of the other major dealers get.

  25. It was popular for DJ Saus on the Northern Soul circuit in the 1990's. He featured at a lot of allnighters at that time. The track sounds 1960's to it's very core.
