  1. Great Chicago dancer on original 45 in great Excellent shape. I think his best record and a lot rarer than his other releases. The odd times I used to dj it received a lot of interest. Copy for sale pictured below. £125 plus postage.
  2. You're ridiculously way over analysing things! Going on holiday or playing sport could fall into your mental categories. Too much analysing goes on these days! This is what happened. People wanted a good time so they went out and had a good time!
  3. My 725 is a four prong, but I did not know it goes for more than the solid centre copies. Looking at various places the solid centre seems to crop up more, but I wouldn't have thought there was much in it. Took me ages to get a USA Gordy vinyl copy in mintish condition! Usually styrene and/or in poor condition. What a brilliant Northern Soul stormer it is to dance too!

  5. I remember when they were £25 around 1990. It was a popular tape swappers sound.
  6. I maybe being slightly naive, but what does trimming a record involve? Is it heavy buffing of the surface to make it look better?
  7. Original in Mint- condition of this great Detroit record. £55 plus £4.30 post.
  8. Great Chicago Northern Soul Original! Condition is mint- Label pressed slightly off centre. Record plays great. £130 plus £8 fully insured postage.
  9. Why when waiting in a queue, do people not move up into the gap in front!! The queue behind you is out of the door, but the people in front do not move up!!!
  10. Two great sides. Super soulful crossover Northern Soul mid tempo dancer. Very nice Excellent condition. £125 plus postage fully insured £8.50.
  11. And thanks to all the people who actually bought every issue of "Midnight Express" and "Voices From The Shadows" as they came out. They made both the magazine's a viable concern I used to look forward very keenly to every issue.
  12. The Feathers also did a poor version in 1976 on UK Bell. I don't know why, as this was a couple of years before Lorraine Silvers became really popular.
  13. "Back in the Day" (Soul Bowl etc) there was lots of various records available in quantity that are now considered rare and hard to get. The facts are, that in 2024 Eddie Parker with a large block print Archer stamp is hard to get! That's because any copies in existence are tucked away in hardcore record collections and not laying about in USA record shops or in the record bars of UK venues. If it was common, like people have mentioned, it would come up for sale once in a while. I haven't seen a proper one, on any of the major dealers lists or private sales for years!
  14. The large Archer stamped issues are pretty rare. The copies Martin Koppel saw were probably the Non Archer stamped copies that are relatively common. Most people have not got a large ARCHER stamped copy and they hardly ever come up for sale. There are so many Non archer stamped copies and then fake archer stamped counterfeits about, makes it seem more common than it really is!
  15. Yes. It has the large Archer stamp.
  16. I think you are trying to make the repress into an original first issue! It's possible to dream up all kinds of scenarios. It originally came out as a demo and issue. Both Archer stamped.
  17. Great classic record. One of my favorites. £150 Includes fully insured postage. The vinyl condition is Mint- The label has been stuck on slightly off centre when manufactured. Clip from you tube. Copy for sale lower picture.
  18. The legitimate repress was ordered by the label owners, but had No Archer stamp. Lorraine Chandler did mention that they had them repressed. Soul Bowl had these in quantity in the 1970's. The small fake Archer stamp copies are counterfeits, made to look like the originals. There are lots of these in collections. The white demo is very rare. It is the demo to go with the first issue. The first issue, with the genuine Archer stamp, is a rare record as well. I think I have only seen about 3 or 4 true issues for sale in 50 years of collecting.
  19. They are not first issues, but are a legitimate repress.
  20. There wasn't and isn't loads of the first issue, with the correct Archer stamp! There are loads of fake archer stamp copies and loads of the legal repress (Soul Bowl) without the Archer stamp, but the true first issue has always been rare and never been around in any quantity!
  21. The buyer of that Eddie Parker will be missing something! A true first issue! This is a picture of the rare true first issue of Eddie Parker with the proper ARCHER stamp. It is a rare record and not many people have one!
  22. Barbara King went for twice as much as Robby Lawson!! Crazy world!
  23. Two great sides. Super soulful crossover Northern Soul mid tempo dancer. Very nice Excellent condition. £125 plus £8.50 fully insured postage. You tube sound clip. Record for sale pictured below it
  24. Not trendy or sophisticated, but I like, KOJAK. Most afternoon's, "Who Love's Ya Baby"
  25. Original 45 in lovely mint- condition. Looks and plays great. £200. Detroit goes for a trip to New York! Postage is £8.50 for fully insured post.
