I used to be Solidsoul for a long time on here, but left and rejoined. So lost my original joining date..

A brief intro...
First started going to Northern Soul nights in 1974 when I was 16. Gravitated to the awesome Wigan Casino allnighters and had some great nights there. Kept up collecting and going to allnighters without a break.
Then somewhere in the middle there's people like me who went to most of the great allnighters and lived the life style to suit, but now through personal reasons, have to be content with mostly staying home and concentrate on collecting Northern Soul records.
Sold.
Lee Williams & The Cymbals "Lost Love". B/w Peepin' (Through The Window) (Carnival)
Ex condition with d/h in label.
Great Northern Soul from Lee Williams & the Cymbals. For some reason always reminds me of Edward Hamilton. That's what I would have covered it up as, if I had discovered it
Real quality group soul track on the flip.
£75 plus £4 tracked postage.
Copy for sale below. Please ignore the Barbara Lewis track.
As far as I am aware it goes like this:-
First is the Despenza release in 1966 with the small block print, Despenza 470.
Then the Wand release.
Then Despenza with the vertical big print 1968.
Then the Despenza with the italic print around 1970.
That's good info about the matrix 12266 being the date.
But the later Despenza represses with the slightly different label designs also used this matrix.
Fantastic doublesider of a record, but how did they think it would sell using a name like John and the Weirdest!
Did they think, it's so far out, it's in!
Maybe they should of stuck with Johnny Hendley as the name
"Goodbye Baby" Bob Brady - Chariot. Ex+. £100. Looks and plays great.
Easily Mislead/ Is The Feeling Still There - Remarkables - Audio Arts original demo. Flip is a good version of the Johnny Summers "Is The Feeing Still There" M- £40.
"Thankful For What I've Got" Barbara Lewis - Atlantic Ex+ Great crossover track. £25.
All originals and postage to add on. Thanks for looking.
It's good to know we have you guys with the perfect taste in music to let us know if a record is good or rubbish, because we don't have minds of our own to decide for ourselves!
This topic is becoming negative, with people feeling the need to share their personal dislikes of various different unconnected records.
It's supposed to be about Terri Goodnight on auction at the moment. Anybody got anything positive to say?
I have had to cut off a few mm along the top of many paper sleeves, so they slide into the cardboard sleeves.
I like the paper sleeves that are poly-lined then cut them to fit the card sleeves.
I never put records straight into a cardboard sleeve. Pulling the record in and out of the rough cardboard causes fine abrasive scratches after a while.
If people like and enjoy those records where's the harm in that!
I wouldn't buy it, but I do think the Margaret Little has a great backing track and is good to dance too
Yes I forgot about that, it's a long time since I sold the bootleg of this Northern Soul classic! I have had an original demo with an R in the runout and now have an issue with the R in the runout.
As you all probably know, the original demo has that thin flexible RCA type plastic whereas the boot has that thicker typical 70's bootleg stiffer vinyl. Also I think the print on the bootleg demo is very slightly fuzzy compared to the original sharp print.
The original demo will have either R, H or I machine stamped into the run out groove.
There was three different pressing plants used to make the originals.
