  1. Members of Staff - Stop The Bells/I Wanna Thank You (Evejim) Mint- £45 Superb funk edged lowrider 45 that has yet to reach a wider audience, only a matter of time before demand and price rise dramatically. The funk edged dancer flip will have its fans too, another that seems under the radar but sounds bang on for now. https://youtu.be/W2kOZ7UUrTk https://youtu.be/ferzXDf57iY Bart Jackson - Wonderful Dream/Dancing Man (Sound Facts) Mint- £35 Actually a sublime mid-paced recording by George Jackson a big lowrider in demander (Beach Scene too I believe which is the purpose of the unofficial Sound Facts press). Flip is nice funky dancer that doesn’t seem especially well known. Now almost impossible to find on Decca and this press selling for £50-£60 currently. https://youtu.be/Nj7Npxa_yLg https://youtu.be/qR3-0t4rAGE Winstons - Color Him Father (Metromedia) Mint- £20 Okay so hardly under the radar but certainly an undervalued, classy crossover 45, demand is on the rise and so is the price seen this listed at £75+ recently. A lovely clean copy. https://youtu.be/PPrJKUvom1s PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. Postage UK £1.80 standard first class or £3.50 recorded, £8 special delivery registered and insured, Europe £8.95 tracked and signed. USA £12.95 tracked. 2. Johnny Bartel & The Soul Masters - I Waited Too Long/If This Isn’t Love (Solid State WD) Ex £280 (‘X’s’ on ‘Waited’ side, see image) Another massively in demand double sider that is so rarely offered for sale especially in WD format. ‘Waited’ is a sublime lowrider group ballad, increasing demand and driving the price upwards. ‘If’ will be known to most, a stunning slab of mid tempo group harmony that’s been in demand for some years. Most copies are safely tucked away in collections, and with demand rising this can only go one way price wise. A lovely copy, a few paper scuffs away from Mint-. Don’t sleep. https://youtu.be/8Qp0uYV-EG https://youtu.be/Ocdexmaj0bw PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. Postage UK £8 registered and insured, Europe £8.95 tracked and signed. 3. NEW YEAR SALE Exciting Changes - Falling In Love/I’ve Got Something Good For You (West Hill) Mint- WAS £200 NOW £150 Under the radar rarity, lowrider top side seems barely known at all despite being a fabulous group slowie, flip it for a slice of crossover perfection that again seems barely known outside of top collector circles. Rarity is doubtlessly a factor with two label variants both as scarce as each other. Not one that comes up often especially in this condition and a 45 that can only increase in value. https://youtu.be/YF-6T_1LsRM https://youtu.be/_14O90ZT3mY Lou D. Washington and The Professionals - Since I Fell In Love/Stay Of Execution (Steeltown) Ex WAS £150 NOW £100 Sold Underplayed and under the radar group harmony dancer, finally getting some well deserved attention in Europe. Flip is a big big lowrider want and has seen the price rise steadily over the past couple of years. Not a common record by any stretch of the imagination and recent Discogs sales have been £150, a bargain at this price! https://youtu.be/rf5MZwIIBt8 https://youtu.be/8m5tkfT-bcs T.S.U. Toranadoes - You’re Mine (Ovide) Mint- WAS £125 NOW £100 Sold Like so many of the Ovide 45s this is pretty hard. Much much rarer than it’s price tag suggests AND is largely down to it sitting under the radar, on both sides of the Atlantic. A gorgeous lowrider group ballad that for me is far superior to the Soulovations version ‘You’re Mind’ <sic> 45 that is so desirable. Gorgeous copy, clean labels almost kept this one TBH, reduced only because I’ve got bills! https://youtu.be/6WDfoQJjxJM PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. Postage UK £1.80 standard first class or £3.50 recorded, £8 special delivery registered and insured, Europe £8.95 tracked and signed. USA £12.95 tracked. 4. Nick Allen - Don’t Make Me Be What You Don’t Want Me To Be/Hard Way To Go Mint- £300 Stunning ballad that’s still slightly under the radar although signs are this will be a big ticket item before long as it’s last Discogs sale was £296 and last eBay outing achieved an incredible £357 and that was only Vg+. Flip is one of Stafford’s finest, Keb’s former Jimmy Georgetowns c/up a crossover masterpiece that sounds as fresh today as it did almost 40 years ago. Gorgeous like new copy. https://youtu.be/3aqsXrG8-xQ https://youtu.be/wz6YhSonuHw Helene Smith - True Love Don’t Grow On Trees (Deep City) Mint- £225 Sold A simply breathtaking slab of dramatic deep with a beat. With the exception of ‘Pot’ this is easily her hardest 45 on a label renowned for difficult to obtain monsters. Still seems pretty unknown to most which is a surprise given its quality. A rare opportunity to obtain a deliciously rare, stunningly good 45 in near perfect condition (believe me it looks like it’s never been played! https://youtu.be/sNWal0F8JBQ Charles and Ivory - My Little Baby (Geneva) Mint- (tiny sticker residue on label see image below) £150 Sold Growing demand for this rarity as it starts to appear on more and more playlists across the US and Europe. Sublime deep with a beat with huge potential, very rarely turns up and in pristine condition! https://youtu.be/2nQc9ji5qdA PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. Postage UK £1.80 standard first class or £3.50 recorded, £8 special delivery registered and insured, Europe £8.95 tracked and signed. USA £12.95 tracked. 5. Moonlighters - Lonely Baby/Right On Brother strong Vg (plays with the odd light click mostly overpowered by recording, sound clip from actual 45 below) £200 One of the many rare and desirable 45s on this wonderful Indianapolis label and what double sider it is. ‘Lonely Baby’ will be known to many, a glorious and still very much in demand mid tempo group harmony cut that’s as popular with the Lowrider collectors as it is the Northern ones. Flip it for a bang on for now funk edged group dancer that’s had a few plays thanks to Mark White who for my money is one of the few still on top of his game. Not the prettiest copy with some ring damage (see image) and a fair few marks but plays a strong Vg (sound clip below) and priced accordingly (had an Ex a while back that flew out at £400). https://youtu.be/2T07UOFPWT4 https://youtu.be/ibLGd9ABIks PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. 6. The Phantom - Come Back To Me/ Uh Huh, Ohyeah (Karisma) Ex (WOL small biro swirl see image) £350 Rarely seen and barely ever heard, here is the far superior version of Sonny Craver’s Musette 45 titled simply ‘Come Back’. Only once through Discogs some 4 years ago and just six through eBay the last of which was almost 7 years ago! Currently this is cruising stealth like under the radar thanks to its rarity but it has a big future given the right exposure. The flip will have its champions too and I’ve included a link to that below as it’s not to be ignored. Rarity assured, exclusively assured, quality assured, investment potential assured. You won’t see another for some considerable time. Don’t sleep. https://youtu.be/GVxS-zHv2xI https://youtu.be/n30kBJsiGaw PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. 7. Lou D. Washington and The Professionals - Since I’ve Fallen In Love/Stay Of Execution (Steeltown) Ex £125 Underplayed and under the radar group harmony dancer, finally getting some well deserved attention in Europe. Flip is a big big lowrider want and has seen the price rise steadily over the past couple of years. Not a common record by any stretch of the imagination and still, currently, cheap considering how rarely it’s offered for sale. https://youtu.be/rf5MZwIIBt8 https://youtu.be/8m5tkfT-bcs Clifford Binns - Take It From Me/You’ve Got To Help Me (Carrie Green Issue) Mint- £100 Impossible to find on its first issue orange label, this is now the only realistic way of owning the stunning double sider. ‘You’ve Got To Help Me’ needs little introduction from me, a classy northern classic that still packs a punch for me. The flip ‘Take It From Me’ will be less familiar to most but don’t ignore this lowrider in demander it’s every bit as good as the flip and with demand increasing for this type of sound the price is only going one way. Lovely clean copy. https://youtu.be/UhnInG-TA8A https://youtu.be/KIXFbSgPfNo T.S.U. Toronadoes - You’re Mine (Ovide) Mint- £120 Like so many of the Ovide 45s this has me is hard. Much much rarer than it’s price tag suggests AND is largely down to it sitting under the radar on both sides of the Atlantic. A gorgeous lowrider group ballad that for me is far superior to the Soulovations version ‘You’re Mind’ <sic> 45 that is so desirable. Gorgeous copy, clean labels almost kept this one TBH. https://youtu.be/6WDfoQJjxJM PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. 8. Soul Sisters - So Much Love (Sue) Mint- £500 Despite its major label status this record remains unknown to most, recently described as ‘so rare it’s almost mythical’. Popsike lists only 6 sales in the last 15 years, two of which were test pressings. Discogs has ownership of 3 and just 2 sales. It is without doubt a genuine rarity, it is without doubt barely known because of that rarity and one click of the sound bite will tell you why this 45 will, once heard more widely, become one of the most sought after northern 45s. What price then? Vinyl Mint-, labels clean and shiny probably the best copy you will ever see (that is if you see another one). Might just make yours or a loved one’s Christmas, shipped next day to ensure delivery before Christmas. https://youtu.be/ZVUAGWsPRgI PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. Postage UK £8 registered and insured, Europe £8.95 tracked and signed. USA £12.95 tracked. DM or email gspluck@aol.com to reserve or for more information. 9. I Was A Fool was a popular tape swappers and collectors’ 45 early ‘80s with the Stafford crowd, I had a copy I think from Black Grape or Soul Bowl would have been no later than ‘84 so Merve you were just a few years ahead of your time.
  10. Desires - Oh What A Lonely Night/Black Girl Ex (TOL ‘Black Girl’) £90 Sold Hot, hot, hot! One of THE most in demand double siders currently. Prices still rising on this and decent copies drying up with demand going crazy, last copy I had was snapped up before I’d listed it. Should be £100 but for the slight label damage on ‘Black Girl’ side. Don’t sleep. https://youtu.be/Gdnm7Dbouqg https://youtu.be/IeVCr-mIxFo Icemen - How Can I Get Over A Fox Like You (ABC) Vg+ £80 Hold Another where current demand is outstripping supply and the price is as a consequence rising sharply. Sheer quality and under priced IMHO as seen it go for £100+ recently. Get one now while you still can for under a ton because this is going one way and one way only. https://youtu.be/1iaaoAq_HHU New Souls - Our Future (Winley) Ex £95 Sold Under the radar this side of the Atlantic but highly sought after in the US, this gorgeous group harmony ballad is a rare find with Discogs and eBay seeing no more than a handful of copies over the last ten years or so. Last sold on Discogs at £130 and with current demand for this type of sound this seems a bargain. https://youtu.be/eOMfSW953yM PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. Postage UK £1.80 standard first class or £3.50 recorded, £8 special delivery registered and insured, Europe £8.95 tracked and signed. USA £12.95 tracked. 11. Sherri Gibbs backed by The Quovans - Let Him Go/Oh My Baby (Philly Sound) Ex £225 Sold Last one of these I had flew out, one of the biggest lowrider tunes to have crossed over to the European soul scenes. Gorgeous, haunting female sweet with a beat with full on male group harmony backing. File alongside other big ticket lowrider 45s like the Sophisticates on Mutt (selling for £400 + now) this can only go the same way, becoming increasingly hard to find. Flip it for a northern oldie that still has plenty of life left in it. Lovely clean copy. https://youtu.be/w6i_UP63dBM https://youtu.be/L4J6L_H3NkE Exciting Changes - Falling In Love/I’ve Got Something Good For You (West Hill) Mint- £200 Under the radar rarity, lowrider top side seems barely known at all despite being a fabulous group deepie, flip it for group harmony crossover perfection that again seems virtually unknown. Rarity is doubtlessly a factor with two label variants both as scarce as each other. Not one that comes up often especially in this condition! https://youtu.be/YF-6T_1LsRM https://youtu.be/_14O90ZT3mY Lou D. Washington and The Professionals - Since I Fell In Love With You/Stay Of Execution (Steeltown) Ex £150 Underplayed and under the radar group harmony dancer, finally getting some well deserved attention in Europe. Gorgeous lowrider with enormous crossover potential, being picked up by one or two forward thinking UK DJs so expect this currently cheap 45 to sky rocket once it becomes more widely known. Get it now, in lovely condition, for next to nothing. https://youtu.be/5pw6Yh63Kcg PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. 12. Maxine Womack - What-cha Gon-na Do (Tack) Mint- £300 Sold Virtually unknown Cali rarity a funk edged sister soul dancer that’s owned by only handful of top DJs and collectors. Has. 2/0 score on Discogs and has been through eBay no more than a handful of times in 15 years. Serious rarity with serious potential, has some turntable action thanks to Mark White. Not on YouTube (until I added the clip below which I’ll be removing once sold). Mint- quite honestly looks like it’s never seen a stylus before today. Gonna be huge! https://youtu.be/l75OcfLFQkE Gospel Ambassadors - Thank You Jesus (PRAY) Vg+ £150 Seriously rare Gospel Funk banger that’s being played by the likes of Greg Belson and Michele Coco. Been through Discogs only once and eBay twice according to Popsike, owned by very very few. Given its rarity and it’s a quality this one’s a bargain! Plays Ex. https://youtu.be/GKc171ZwYIM Drake and The En-Solids - Fight For Love/Could This Be Love (Alteen) Vg+ £100 Sold Rarer than their other one on Alteen and better IMHO, a funk edged dancer that remains totally under the radar. Gorgeous lowrider group ballad on the flip (this side plays with some light crackle sadly). Rare enough to be in the £300 bracket to be honest but so few know it demand is still low … but for how long? Sounds bang on for now to my ears. https://youtu.be/puuPAsIbFkA https://youtu.be/BEtEHB4BFGk PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. 13. Fabulous Mustangs - I’ll Find Happiness/I Won’t Let You Go (‘Stang) Vg-/ Vg+ £50 (clips below from actual 45) Sold Another gorgeous under the radar lowrider group harmony 45 that is damn rare, sadly this side plays with some light noise (listen below). Flip is Superb hard edged group harmony that seems to have been completely ignored and this side plays Vg+. Very rare 45, Manship has a Vg at £200. Clips below from my copy. Bargain at this price, imagine Yann could sort out the noise too! https://youtu.be/fXv2-slR20U https://youtu.be/dvWS0cK7CEk Al Reed - Sorry About That (Axe) Ex £35 Sold Infectious, under the radar rhythm and soul dancer from ‘68, amazed this isn’t massive - perfect for DJs looking for something different. Hard to find in this sort of clean condition. https://youtu.be/LIh6nSAGHRY Aaron Neville - She Took You For A Ride (Parlo) Ex £30 His best 45 by a country mile. Gorgeous lowrider with enormous crossover potential, being picked up by one or two forward thinking UK DJs so expect this currently cheap 45 to sky rocket once it becomes more widely known. Get it now, in lovely condition, for next to nothing. https://youtu.be/5pw6Yh63Kcg Winstons - Color Him Father (Metromedia) Mint- £30 Little introduction necessary for this classy crossover 45, demand is on the rise and so is the price seen this listed at £75+ recently. A lovely clean copy. https://youtu.be/PPrJKUvom1s PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. 14. Helene Smith - True Love Don’t Grow On Trees (Deep City) Mint- £300 A simply breathtaking slab of dramatic deep with a beat. With the exception of ‘Pot’ this is easily her hardest 45 on a label renowned for difficult to obtain monsters. Still seems pretty unknown to most which is a surprise given its quality. A rare opportunity to obtain a deliciously rare, stunningly good 45 in near perfect condition (believe me it looks like it’s never been played! https://youtu.be/sNWal0F8JBQ Joanie Late & The Soul-Jers - Tell Them The Truth/Poor Girl (Cap City) Vg+ £150 Under the radar lowrider 45 that has a 0/1 count on Discogs and literally been eBay only 6 times! Just been comp’ed on Gangster Harmony Girlz Vol. 5 so price and demand likely to rise to crazy levels. Flip is a funky hard edged R&B cut that sounds right for now. Clips from my copy not on YouTube elsewhere! https://youtu.be/YJIiF1shTiI https://youtu.be/GCpUseEDEdI Fabulous Mustangs - I’ll Find Happiness/I Won’t Let You Go (‘Stang) Vg-/ Vg+ £75 (clips below from actual 45) Another gorgeous under the radar lowrider group harmony 45 that is damn rare, sadly this side plays with some light noise (listen below). Topside is the far superior version of The Soul Ambassadors group harmony ballad, a 45 still under the radar but with huge lowrider potential. Flip it for a crossover style version of Bobby Womack’s ‘More Than I Can Stand’ another underplayed cut with serious potential for the right crowd. Not the prettiest copy but plays strong (listen below) and priced accordingly. https://youtu.be/BYjlrYFnghs https://youtu.be/BcR9a5EF2Og PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. 15. Exciters - Cleo Is Back (Loyola) strong Vg, plays Vg+ £100 Panamanian fire. Killer funk edged Latin 45 that is very, very hard to find in any condition let alone a clean playing copy like this one. Sounds absolutely spot on for now. Some label wear/damage and WOL (see image), light marks/hairlines but plays strong Vg+. https://youtu.be/Gk9FlBKI0U PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. 16. Dynamic Imperious - Eyes On The Prize (Walker’s Echo) Mint- £150 Could have sold my last copy five times over in the first half an hour of listing, such is the demand on this still under the radar Gospel Funk bomb. Getting some turntable action from some of the more enlightened (sorry) DJs at Rhythm Soul & Funk and elsewhere. A pretty rare 45 too and this one is mint! Will be massive, what price then? https://youtu.be/0nnJ1UIPSQY PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. Postage UK £8 registered and insured, Europe £8.95 tracked and signed. USA £12.95 tracked. 17. Baby Love - Do It For Me/Your Love Is Real (Dud Sound) Vg+ £225 Bomb! Very, very reluctant sale this one, still under the radar and very hard to find, Pretty sure Gilly has been playing this in his Soho Soul Sunday spots - the price of this is going to soar once the word is out. Flip is a brilliant hard edged, funky group dancer that is bang on for now. It’ll be a while before you see another copy- don’t sleep on this one. https://youtu.be/uIj5q-iRPUU https://youtu.be/2E-gxhqg7N8 PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. 18. Nat Brown - If This Is What You Want Go Ahead/Before And After (Selma) Vg++ (a couple of small marks (DNAP) away from being Mint-) £350 A once in a blue moon opportunity to buy this incredible double sider at a set sale price. Little more than a handful of these have gone through Discogs and eBay in the last ten years or so, making it an established very, very rare 45. Topside is a killer, haunting lowrider grail for which demand is immense. Flip it for an under the radar funk edged bomb that is known (by those who know) as both scarce and with heaps of potential as it’s absolutely bang on for now (had some plays in Europe and here in the UK by the likes of Jordi Ripolles). A record that , given existing and ever growing demand from lowrider collectors and the enormous potential of its flip, can only go up and up in value. https://youtu.be/OJbDPvWnW0g https://youtu.be/jLDvpj_n-hs PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. 19. Revlons - (Oh Oh Oh) What A Love This Is/Did I Make A Mistake (Toy) Mint- £125 Last copy of this I had flew out and it’s no surprise with two top drawer sides back to back. What A Love is of course Pat Brady’s old Masqueraders c/up from the early ‘80s, a fantastic dancer that’s never really had its day. Flip is a sublime under the radar lowrider group harmony cut that will rise and rise in value. Much much rarer than it’s going rate indicates, a genuinely tough 45 to obtain. https://youtu.be/hQuW3JWJVSA https://youtu.be/pUaO7b9MwqY Performers - I Can’t Stop You (Mirwood) Ex £60 Funk edged group dancer that’s been growing in reputation and demand in recent years. One click of the sound bite will tell you why, a storming dancer that sounds just right for now. Lovely black (rarer than blue?) stock copy, £100 on one well known dealer’s site and this is much better condition if the sound file is anything to go by so a bargain. https://youtu.be/bqDzkMZj_5k Fidelics - I Love You Baby/Lovers In The Park (Rising-Soul) Mint- £60 Double sided dynamite. Lovers In The Park is a sublime lowrider cut that a quick YouTube search will reveal as one revered by many of the top collectors and DJs on that scene. But the flip, an infectious group harmony dancer that wouldn’t have sounded out of place at Stafford, is clearly less well known. Not an easy 45 to pull either. https://youtu.be/iDZ5kS9TL_Y https://youtu.be/EsrvZ2YBrLY PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. 20. Dorando - Didn’t I (Music City) Mint- £90 Hold Massively in demand 45 that has crossed over to a much wider audience, revered by the lower crowd, funk collectors and the crossover scene. A stunning 45 in lovely condition only selling because I realised I already had one after snapping this copy up. Seen for sale at way over £100 too in recent past. https://youtu.be/Ka-kTTcUACM E.G. Taylor and The Sounds of Soul - Pick Yourself Up/ You Made Me Mad (Val) Mint- £50 Sold Under the radar yet stunning lowrider topside and one to watch with bags of potential. Flip it for an under the radar northern dancer with plenty of legs in it. A 45 that can only really go up in value. https://youtu.be/Gd6zTHlRmRE https://youtu.be/WghkNG6ISsE Eight Minutes - Will You Still Be Mine/Here’s Some Dances (Jay-Pee) Mint- £35 Under the radar kiddie soul double hitter that quite honestly has huge potential. Top side is a yet to be discovered (over here at least) classy lowrider 45. Flip it for a cracking funk edged dancer that’s had some spins thanks to one or two of the Rhythm, Soul and Funk DJs who are consistently pushing the boundaries and discovering quality new sounds. This 45 is notoriously hard to find in decent condition, this copy is flawless. https://youtu.be/Th2XTiHJt-4 https://youtu.be/TxMb4t59-I8 PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. 21. Desires – Baby We Can Make It/Smile (Tamboo) strong Vg (plays above grade listen below) WOL (see image) £250 A very, very rare opportunity to acquire a relatively exclusive, virtually unknown 45. A gritty, hard edged, chugging mid-tempo group harmony side with HUGE potential. NOT on YouTube (until today and my clip will be removed once sold) with only a handful of copies changing hands on eBay, Discogs and from what I can find privately on FB/Soul Source so arguably the rarest on this fabulous label. The same Desires that recorded the hugely in-demand Oh What A Lonely Night’/Black Girl on Starville. Flip is another quality mid-tempo group sound but why ‘Baby’ this isn’t massive is beyond me, only rarity and obscurity can have held it back. Another copy won’t be along for some time, don’t sleep. https://youtu.be/Nl7bI_jx05Q https://youtu.be/0pUpWS4YuZU PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. 22. Jackie Day/Larry Banks & Jaibi– Get To Steppin'/My Life Is No Better (Kent 100 Club 30th Anniversary Special) Mint- £75 No introduction necessary really! 100 Club 30th Anniversary Special the first, and very limited, press of Jackie Day’s previously unreleased pounder ‘Get To Steppin’. B/W another cracking previously unissued dancer from Larry Banks and Jaibi. Lovely clean copy and possibly the cheapest one out there, all over a ton on Discogs currently. 23. Exciters - Cleo Is Back (Loyola) strong Vg, plays Vg+ £150 Panamanian fire. Killer funk edged Latin 45 that is very, very hard to find in any condition let alone a clean playing copy like this one. Sounds absolutely spot on for now. Some mild label wear/damage (see image) and light marks but plays strong Vg+. https://youtu.be/Gk9FlBKI0Uo Jubilee Hummingbirds - Same Thing It Took (Messenger) Mint- £40 Infectious funky gospel soul that’s got one or two big name upfront DJs behind it, a Greg Belson discovery that has plenty of potential to cross over. One click of the sound clip and you’ll hear exactly why. https://youtu.be/Dn53euSDM-E “Little” Jimmy Ballard - Guilty (Of Love In The First Degree)/Sophisticated Walk (ABC) Ex £50 Double sided funk edged dynamite. ‘Guilty’ has been on a few playlists in recent times thanks to the likes of Mark White and other more progressive DJs and sounds bang on for now. Flip it for another chugging gritty mid-tempo dancer that has as much potential as the top side. Still cheap but not a common record by any means. https://youtu.be/wuOul3JEljM https://youtu.be/ujGgPDlSvR8 PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. 24. Florida Spiritualaires - I Remember When (Ernie’s) strong Vg £175 Sold Borderline Vg+ there is a bit static and the odd light pop here and there mostly on intro before the recording pretty much takes over (sound clip from actual copy below). A copy that sounded about the same went through eBay last year at nearly £300, so this is arguably a bargain! Demand for this gorgeous gospel lowrider/crossover 45 has been growing and growing in recent years pretty much all the copies have disappeared into collections now. This will fly out at this price. https://youtu.be/2eq9fVPs4_4 Lovelles - Pretending Dear (Atco) Vg (small nick/crack on run in DNAP, see image) £80 Listen to a clip from actual 45 below. Another bargain, easy £150 in decent nick. Sadly, this has a tiny edge crack on run it (DNAP) and a few marks that cause the odd light tick and pop during the first few seconds before it evens out into a nice Vg+. Fabulous lowrider 45 with huge potential that’s yet to be realised this side of the Atlantic. Half price https://youtu.be/d_72aSaFsW8 Ferris Fitzgerald - Got To Find My Baby (Impact) Vg- £50 Stupidly rare and massively in demand Jamaican sweet soul lowrider 45. Not the best looking copy in the world and it does have some significant ticks and pops at the start, priced accordingly (listen to a clip from actual 45 below). Not one that ever shows in decent condition, like so many of the Jamaican presses they look like they’ve been used as frisbees! A quarter of the price it should be! https://youtu.be/ajXSepAZ6Rg PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. 25. Ex Saveyons - Where Do I Go From Here/Running Wild Ex £150 With George Blackwell and Robert Banks on the credits your pretty much guaranteed quality. Top side is another example of group harmony lowrider brilliance, flip it for a marvellous piece of funky crossover that’s been on the better playlists for some years now with demand at its highest. Gorgeous copy. https://youtu.be/GuRUfVXFPZc https://youtu.be/3RqZ4oXedhA Cashmeres - Summertime/You Send Me (Rubbertown) Mint- £80 Sold Yes it’s that ‘Summertime’ a jazz standard but unlike you’ve ever heard before! Words cannot do this justice just have a listen. Both sides have been gaining interest on the lowrider circuit recently and rightly so. Was picked up and re-issued as Don McClain and The Electrifying Cashmeres on Sound Stage Seven which is scarce on both issue and demo but this local Ohio release on Rubbertown is proper rare like everything else on the label. I’m probably making a massive mistake selling this for under a ton. https://youtu.be/XVQDO9bb-qo https://youtu.be/6TwNKjJ5ggo Eight Minutes - Will You Still Be Mine/Here’s Some Dances (Jay-Pee) Mint- £50 Under the radar kiddie soul double hitter that is quite honestly has huge potential. Top side is a yet to be discovered (over here at least) classy piece of sweet with a beat that will turn a few heads stateside as well as here.
