Anyway 9 copies for sale 1x Blackbeat no. 4 and 8 X Blackbeat no. 8 ( issue no 8 features 1983 readers poll , interesting ) £5 each Inc p+p , PM me if interested PayPal f+f etc if interested , all copies intact and almost 40 yrs old so maybe rusty staples etc, Mods if in wrong section please move to appropriate , cheers
  7. I was thinking legally with royalties going to all those involved musically , but I see your point, inevitable I'm afraid eventually some scumbag always does
  8. If it's so rare ,maybe a reissue a possibility in the future and it wouldn't be so difficult to say , a sell out , and it is damn good .
  9. For years I've wondered how is it possible that a bootleg " reissue" can possibly be more valuable or sought after ,than a Legitimate UK reissue , when in most cases it is the only legal and by far the better sounding format. Most UK releases old or new are legal on licence etc ,I know that not all are , but over the years it has got better ,yet still tonight on eBay George Kirby ,What Can I Do , up to £56. with a couple of days to go , on Cadet boot , and a few others that are far more reasonably priced similar , surely a legitimate UK reissue in most cases the only reissue is more collectable , yes I know box sets maybe not to everyone's taste , but most are broken up or Liberated as they say .
  10. Great tune, great back story 11 yrs old first time in the band wow , I could only manage the triangle if the music teacher told me when , just hope now all the postie's don't go sick , ordered

  12. Geraldine Hunt ,Winner takes All , James Carr, A Losing Game , The Ideals, I Got Lucky , Gene Chandler, Bet You Never Thought ,
  13. A little tenuous maybe , Voices of East Harlem, Cashing In
  14. Can't recall Jive Talkin but can remember 5000 Volts I'm On Fire getting spun in the main room at WC , a quick exit and into Mr Ms
  15. Played this a few times and Soul Direction moving in the right direction , looking forward to 2022 already ,,,,
  16. Not wishing to hijack this excellent feature, but there used to be a very vibrant Northern soul scene in North Wales , Colwyn Bay Pier Alnighters, and Aldayers with Brian Rae back in the park again in Colwyn bay , even saw Wayne Fontana in Rhyl with a good traveling crowd from Wolverhampton and Blackpool , and that's just the ones I can remember . Used to have a great traveling crowd too , stopping off at Crewe , then last train to the Casino , found many a great tune in the local charity shop .
  17. Kim Weston , Leicester Starlight 2001 alnighters during the period when Brenda Holloway,Reconsider, was first played amongst other Motown finds ,played on white label promo I found at the record fair at the NEC for £25,and then sold later at Tony's in Blackburn for £45 in the record bar, must have been very late 80s early 90s , sold up 92/93 to pay for house refurb.
  18. Can't remember the date but must have been early 00s Stuart Marconi had Richard Searling as a guest and I'm sure it was on Radio 2 , and accidentally played the whole of Keni Lewis with out interruption and I was recording the show by chance , Richard must have have given him bollocking off air lol, I ripped a couple onto cd and that was the only way I could get one , I'm sure not on legit release , I do now have the 45 by the way , if you want still want a copy on cd , pm me
  19. Hi Steve , have PMd
  20. This particular copy didn't describe reissue ,but the same boot sold on Thursday /Friday overnight for £8.50 and today a copy for sale £10. both listed as reissue, original issues for sale on discogs from £14. Why do people not do their homework, multiple copies and reasonably priced originals around , but do agree no problem with boots or reissues sometimes it's the only option
  21. There's also a boot of Walter Jackson on the same site up to £24. you can actually see the label has a photo copied drill hole for god's sake
  22. The "Helene Furgerson sounds like it was recorded in an outside loo and the French version an inside loo both stink lol , but what do I know
  23. Possibly something to do with the popularity of the writing team ,loved all over the world and covered by everybody
