  1. For sure will do Paul, including the "teeth marks on the gents bog door" story and let's not forget the brakes failing on my old MK I Cortina
  2. I really like her rap.................
  3. Take your choice, Jackie Wilson or the Bambuti tribe in the Congo.
  4. Chris Steer clear they're aligned with the Verviers/Charleroi gangster world, guns 'en all. Just avoid. Chris
  5. In fact those Canadian release are rarer than the US Okeh ones but not so popular with the record buying public
  6. This is pretty nifty too...................
  7. I guess as far as the UK is concerned it's Trevor Churchill, he worked for EMI when the Capitol Discotheque 66 series came out.
  8. That Ebay one sold for about £470.00....................
  9. I have to admit I do post on the Wants list, I hope I've always replied. You do get offered all sorts of conditions and prices, it looks like some people who say they'll sell are really only chancing to see how high a "Wantee" will go. I also scour old lists to ask if item is still available, I've picked up quite a few this way. I have asked once or twice if an item has been sold to give me an idea what's the thing worth. It's all part and parcel of Buy/Sell..........................
  10. I was having a "larf" but serious too. If you had bought it and it did turn out to be a boot, there'd be no issue in getting a refund.
  11. Some trivia : She dated Don Mitchell, the black detective in Ironsides..........
  12. It's more a question of only the top sounds now selling at decent prices and if you play this at a venue it'll get 'em dancing for sure.
  13. The "two lines" is a good indication but not all had them.
  14. One on Ebay currently at $500 with 10 hours to go.................. https://www.ebay.com/itm/LEON-HAYWOOD-baby-reconsider-orig-fat-fish-issue-northern-soul-nice-copy-/281045773995?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item416fa22eab
  15. Talking of Bobbie Smith........................Here's one you don't see that often for sale, only ever heard it once, Ian Levine played it on Richards Searling's JazzFM program. Nice choon.
  16. Perhaps you can ask the seller ? Crazy idea I know but it might just work...................
  17. Minit went bust, wonder how close this was to that moment ?
  18. Sorted, thanks for the offers.
  19. In my experience the issue was always harder to find and more expensive. I see in the Wants ads that a buyer was willing to pay more for a demo. Over the last 14 years I've bought and sold about 10 demos but only ever found 1 issue that I sold for a lot more than the demos. Am I right or am I right ?
  20. I know that when you try and find a record on UK Ebay there pops up a whole gaggle of pressings/re-issues/boots, but I did get the felling that they're being sold for less than a couple of years ago and are in smaller batches than before. I guess those who wanted them have them and only (generally) the serious collectors are now buying.
  21. If it's a VG don't pay more than £10.00 tops. Check the run-out and look for the very faint matrix markings, hasn't got one, it's a boot. This was my sale way-way back in the silly-heady days of NS sales........................ https://www.popsike.c...4041593824.html Last year I struggled to sell an issue, think I got about £15.00 for it, it was EX+. Good luck.
  22. Condition and price please, Happy New Year.............
  23. Oh!, that's really sad, who didn't grow up listening to "Rescue me" ? 1st record I ever played as a DJ. RIP and God bless
  24. There's 3 on UK Ebay right now, 2 x UK & 1 US.
