  1. I need to qualify that, they dinked them mostly in Belgium.
  2. Yes it's Dutch Which is a bit strange as they tended to dink them in the shops upon selling. Those original Isley Brothers - Rumours were mostly without original centres, never saw one with, I guess it exists.
  3. They've got an awful lot of coffee in Brazil
  4. Here's some unusual ones................. Venezuelan Tamla Motown Dutch Cameo Parkway Unknown Scepter Belgian Tamla Motown
  5. Generally speaking (if possible) because most of the great northern soul songs have fantaisc arrangements and productions (Wright, Smith, Bell, Jackson, Wisner, etc) seeing a live act can be, well, disappointing. Now................having said that, some of those I have seen have been sparkling to say the least, what's your experience and most treasured memory ? Here's a couple of mine : 2004 Garland Green - Ain't that good enough Alexander Patton - A l'il lovin' sometimes 2006 The Spellbinders - Help me The Del-larks - Job opening The last I never really did like record but after seeing/hearing them live, I was mightily impressed. Want to sees : Christine Cooper - Heartaches away Jerry Cook - Hurt on the other side So wotz your fav then ?
  6. If you track the pricing on Popsike, you'll see that trend, I'll do a few next week when I stay over at work, it's quite "frightening" how these 50 quiders have plummeted.
  7. Should have been a round in the very early 70s

Always thought she was a peach :-(
  9. Seems a bargain now https://www.popsike.com/MEGA-RARE-Northern-Soul-EDDIE-PARKER-Im-Gone-HEAR/200349414098.html
  10. And yet they did for Jerry Cook. FYI there's a whole album of stuff done by Jerry Cook at Capitol, they won't release it
  11. Sold a VG+ for £84.00, seems to be anywhere between £80 - 100. Good luck
  12. Not exactly the thread but isn't there a really, really rare Action single ?
  13. Don't mind what label, reasonable condition AOK, thanks...........
  14. Let me know, I'll take it.............
  15. Ended up selling for nearly 50 quid...............
  16. Should be an EX-ish US or UK but CHEAP !
  17. I think you could be right !! But be honest no record is worth that, I mean for that kind of money you could cover yourself in Philippine hookers for 6 years !!..........er allegedly.............. Mind you seeing what it does to a dance floor....................................
  18. Not really Pete, I think we all smiled at each other but didn't trust anyone as far as you could throw them. Nigel Martin's connections were far ahead of anybody else's, apart from Ian's I guess. A pal of mine had a relationship with a record shop in LA and he'd supply just one copy of most records he'd ask for, only demos though including I might add a mint demo of Hit & Run................................................. If we only knew then what we know now
  19. No, sorry (BTW know Dave since 1972)
  20. Killer Track
  21. For a few years I thought NS records were on their way down, in terms of price. For sure the £50 records mostly seemed to have their values go down to £20-ish. Having said that watching last weekend's "The 3 Ebay Super Scratchy Sellers", FunkYou!, Burl*one and Sharlow45 auctions, my word didn't they get top prices for their stuff ? Most were ruffa than sandpaper.
  22. When's the end of auction date ?
  23. I have a few mates that sell cheapies on Ebay, they tell me that anything less than $5.00 a single to Europe stopped overnight with a virtual doubling of the postage costs. What I have found is that sellers will (much more willing than before) combine shipping costs, just bought 5 records and seller gave same costs as I single. I kinda wonder if there's a market for selling on UK Ebay cheap USA releases, say Motown for a quid or two a piece ?
  24. You know I've seen about 3 or 4 types of look-a-like boots. Having said that there does seem to be a copy that hails from the US without the stamp. It's always been assumed it came from those 70s boots that Selectadisc sold (Hesitations, Barbara Mills, etc;) these has almost perfect labels and in the case of Jerry Cook and Alex Patten actual original labels. Boots wouldn't have found their way to the US in the 70s. I guess it's so long ago we'll never really know, if you want a 100% guarantee then you have to get it with stamp.
  25. Julian, it'slooking very much like there are originals without the stamp. Read this................ https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321062771996?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649
