I suppose with the prices some big ticket items have been fetching, the market for good Northern Soul records is alive and well. Dross of course just doesn't sell anymore.

I'm guessing it's some sort of re-issue label but the orignal release was about 1969/70 so it probably was later. Any idea what it's worth ? not much I assume.

I just bought lot of records from a bloke and when deciding how much I'd offer him, I checked the list and tried all the usual suspects to get a feel for their values. One was the Whispers - Flying High/The time will come - on Soul Clock. Strangely I see it got issued on a label I've never heard of BLACK-WHALE records, also the flip is Etta James - I'd rather go blind. Can anyone fill me in on BLACK-WHALE ? Also tell me value of the Soul Clock issue..........................lol.............................. Many thanks

Doing Stoke on the 20th, driving up from Dover the Saturday, should leave the port at about 12 o'clock UK time. Anybody want to share a ride ? Did you know that they recorded a 3rd 45 but it was never released, it even has a number...........................not a lot of people know that.

The Belgian issue is about the rarest I guess (unless there's a Guatemalan issue) they don't come up for sale often, if at all. One did sell for £100 end of last year, not much but European labels don't go for much collectors seem to want UK1st then US. Good luck.

Meethunks all gold "pocket watch" style clocks are originals. The square clocks were for the Fuller Brothers. The "eye" designs are the re-issues, legit. Good luck................
