What determines a "rare record" ? -
Just Like The Weather - Demo, Plain Blue Or Speckled ?

I have "If he makes you" on yellow Constellation, so I guess it could have come out, there are quite a few releases in yellow, especially Gene Chandler. I'll be selling a blue speckled in a weeks time. -

What's the most desirable ? The white demo, plain blue label or darker speckled blue Constellation ? (yes I know about Bunky)

And yet US albums do have small hole centres

Thing is that Nigel had the only copies so it only got played when he was there.
-
Both got played at the Torch, Nigel Martin had three copies. His dad worked for Canadian Pacific Airlines and used to buy on behalf of his son from Martin Koppel long before he became a known quantity. The story is that Nigel's dad asked for "Love you baby" which Koppel didn't have at the time but offered him 'I'm gone' we all know the rest.

Issue or demo, anything from VG+ upwards, a drillion thanks amigos................

You wonder how such a major artist on a worldwide label can be so rare !!
-
I once had a Chilean Little Richard - I don't want to discuss it, reckon there was a "Southern Soul" scene back in the 70s ?

The original has a narrower run-out and the "66-3088-B" is in larger letters, also "H" stamped in run-out. The boot has a wide run-out and the text is smaller than the original. The run-out width and stamped letter "H" is the best indicator. Here are label scans. Original Boot One can't trust the Manship/Brown/Knowitalls of this world 100% The books they publish are great guides but I've yet to find anyone who'll stick his head and say that all the Los Angeles issued Okeh singles are stamped in the run-out. Arthur Wright say not he would know won't he? Good luck. PS : Don't know how old you are, I know instrumentals are not in vogue this day and age but bewt this shook those wooden floors like no other did in its day. Chris

Will dig them out and post.

I have an original and a boot. The original came from Graig Moerer and the boot from a very well known UK dealer. I'll try and scan them and post them up. Don't ever believe everything that these "experts" say, challenge them heavily.
