  3. I never used to like the Del-larks much, thought it was too messy but after seeing them sing it live I quite like it now

  5. Going back into the Soul Source archives I see a few threads about this record. It wasn't clear to me which one(s) are boots. If I understand it correctly the top 2 are originals and the one underneath is a boot ? A yes or no would be good ! On mine run-out has small 66BY264-1 and LW plus a very very small marking I can't read.

  9. Bought these two this morning, both French.
  10. US releases are pretty much impossible to find here, 95% of the stuff at fairs, flea-markets or boot-sales will be Benelux, France and/or German. Of course they almost all come with pic sleeves

  13. Picked these up at our local Mechelen record fair. Didn't pay much, also got 2 Dutch Tamla Motown albums. Belgian - neat feature, you can cut the jukebox title strip out if need be Dutch French Also this is good.

  16. That happened a lot in the 60s, different pressing times & plants couldn't always get the right colours. As far as I know never booted, certainly not on Tarpon, only ever seen demos on the blue label. What's interesting is that Tarpon was owned by Emerson records, I'm guessing the same Emerson that made radios, quite a famous brand in those days.
  17. Al Wilson - Show and tell Bobby Reed - I'll find a way The Spinners - I'll be around The Miracles - Choosy beggar Almost any Jerry Butler, Mercury, Gamble/Huff choon. Gene Chandler - I'm just a fool for you
  18. Was on an old newspaper shop shelf ?
  19. I once had this, seems years and years ago..........
  20. Is this the alternative version of Slow Fizz ?
  21. I've got a blue/red issue, has "Bell Sound" & 1253#A in run out
  22. There's the album on Ebay right now at a knock-down price of £1.95. Well worth getting got some great tracks including their version of "It's growing". https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/THE-CONTOURS-BABY-HIT-AND-RUN-EX-/121264370648?pt=UK_Records&hash=item1c3beb73d8 Not my sale just wanted to give anybody a heads up. Besides this is "the" original version/release if you will. If anybody on SS does bid and buy this give me a shout
