  1. Maybe but this is far from mint .
  2. Not sure if this is a real "comedy" sale but at £300 somebody's laughing all the way to the bank. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TONY-CLARKE-Landslide-RARE-Chess-PROMO-northern-soul-45-/310994483759?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=Te%252By8Kek4S9p0FT1QCohqW81IUQ%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
  3. That early Billy Butler is quite big on the Belgian Popcorn scene, always wondered how they got to hear it way back then, the Dutch release kinda makes sense now.
  4. Seeing as today is Canada day Always liked Canadian releases, the vinyl is so thick and chunky
  5. Taken in 1969 by the young girl in the photo. 17 years old and all full of piss and vinegar, our whole lives still ahead of us.
  6. Northern Soul shudda been called Midlands Soul shouldn't it ?
  7. This boot just gone also for £50.00 ! https://www.ebay.com/itm/JOHNNY-SAYLES-034-I-CAN-039-T-GET-ENOUGH-OF-YOUR-LOVE-034-MONSTER-NORTHERN-LISTEN-/360883383297?nma=true&si=%252BtPwHosM9mZok%252FKE0%252FAMw%252FQuRBw%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
  8. There was a whole series of records booted in the 70s, all with extremely good labels. Jerry Cook & Alex Patten even had original labels but were pressing not re-issues, just boots. From memory this lot included Barbara Mills, Hesitations, Gloria Jones plus a few others, they all were in thick chunky vinyl. Hard to tell the difference until you look close at the vinyl.
  9. Original or boot ?
  10. Yes, you're right, they did.
  11. I've had white and pink demos, all on styrene, never seen a styrene yellow demo though, looks sus.
  12. Kev If you're an old 70s dog then this is up there with the best.
  13. This is my 1970s boot I sold some time ago for £16.00 on Ebay. There were a whole batch of these boots made in the 1970s I think by Selectdisc but I can't be sure. Some are very difficult to tell from the originals.
  14. As far as I know the yellow ones are boots, I haven't seen a re-issue on Smash, I would imagine it would be with the small Smash logo on top.
  15. This just went for £50.00............ouch! https://www.ebay.com/itm/JOHNNY-SAYLES-034-I-CAN-039-T-GET-ENOUGH-OF-YOUR-LOVE-034-MONSTER-NORTHERN-LISTEN-/360883383297?nma=true&si=%252BtPwHosM9mZok%252FKE0%252FAMw%252FQuRBw%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
  16. I sold a VG demo for £75.00
  17. Boot, has to do with letter "e" not protruding enough. I'm only aware of originals and boots, the boots were made in the 70s, there maybe more recent ones. Doing this all from memory, maybe somebody has a Manship bootbook to quote from ?
  18. An original will cost you approx £50-70 depending on, a re-issue about £15.00, good luck.
  19. Agree, pretty good................
  20. Originals have text at bottom of label, boot doesn't Original Boot
