  1. Think you'd be hard pushed to buy this on an original at a tenner, they're going for about £30 - 40 right now.
  2. Frankie Beverly - If that's what you wanted.
  3. Used to have this on Greek Top Tunes label
  4. Once upon a time you used to be able to contact other bidders, shame can't do that now, I'd ask them why they are bidding £50+ when it's there as a buy now at about a fiver
  5. A fairly famous DJ once told me that if the dance-floor was emptying he'd put this on always guaranteed to get 'em up and at 'em...............
  6. Both Torch & early Mecca sounds, Nigel Martin had 2 or 3 Eddie Parkers' in about early to mid 1973.
  7. I couldn't see any old fashioned black & silver TM labels in Italy so I guess you're right. Trust the Italians to use flair and colours
  8. I haven't read all the other posts so forgive me if there some repeats, here goes Eddie Parker - I'm gone Pat Lewis - No one to love Luther Ingram - Exus trek/If it's all the same to you Dells - Run for cover Tony Clarke - Landslide Garnett Mimms - Looking for you Johnny Wyatt - This thing called love Nolan Chance - Just like the weather Denise LaSalle - Love reputation Vel-vets - Got to find me somebody ..............................................
  9. Worth risking the danger of getting there and looking for a copy
  10. Here's some Italian Motown. Not sure if they are really 1st issue or early 70s 2nd releases.
  11. Have a heart Pete !! I haven't ever been able to post 3 for £2.34 nor 2 even, mind you I ship them in tea chests
  12. I wasn't going to do it my plucked up the nerve because Christiane wanted to go and I did want to see the top where that James Bond film was made.
  13. In the cable car heading for the top of the Schildhorn and Pia Gloria. The view when you get there.
  14. I ask £2.70 signed for 1st class, with 2nd record free then only 0.50p per record thereafter. I've have had some real humdingers over the years. One bloke wanted £7.00 for a £10.50 record, when I asked why so high he replied "packing materials, my time, fuel for car to post office, tape, labelling and passing on of tracking number"....... Perhaps best was a person who agreed I could go and collect item or have it shipped for £20.00 (wasn't a record) I bought it and asked to come and collect (3 miles from my older brother) he said he'd reduce "shipping costs" by £8.00 to £12.00, I told him to stuff it.
  15. Thee persoon who bought the Chalfontes must have absolutely no idea wat values are. It also means that were other people bidding over 300 quid too
  16. Saw those Neal, the issue looks a bit bootish anyway now sorted, thanks for info
  17. Oh sorry must have been the Serrano ham I had for lunch
  18. You can't compare with the Frank Wilson, besides there were more things involved in that sale. You can however compare with Don Gardner, Larry Clinton, Del-larks, et al, not many people who own them got to be well known on the scene like Kenny did.
  19. If the bloke bought it to DJ with, first very risky being on styrene we all know how fragile they can be and secondly and more important is that economically it doesn't make sense, you'd have to play it as a DJ every night for about 3.5 years !!
  20. Some great tracks on that album, "Feels like fire" "Helpless" "Stay in my lonely arms" "I'm grateful" come to think about it there's not a duffer on it
  21. I tried finding it, looks like it's gone ? https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02cppvw
  22. An original, issue or demo, decent condition-ish. Thanks.
  23. No matter how great a record is I would have a tough time parting with that kind of money, even if I was a millionaire. Talking to a ex-collector/seller who said, and he was right, "it's a never ending thing, where do you stop ? you just can't own every rare/great record unless you are a millionaire" I have to say I would have thought that the amount of buyers who want to pay over £5.000 for a record must be a diminishing number as people get older other priorities rear their head and owning £50 -100.000+ of vinyl doesn't seem such a good idea.
  24. When I'm on the NY subway always think I'm in a movie, expecting Al Pacino, Crocodile Dundee or somesuchlike to be sitting next to me
