  3. Danny Austin a singer with both the Ad Libs and Spellbinders passed away Saturday evening in New Jersey. Danny toured the UK with the Spellbinders in 1966 & 1967. A smashing bloke and a great singer. RIP
  4. Mexico Brazil Portugal Lebanon West Indies France
  5. Original styrene, look for the small "h" on the run-out.
  6. That's true Pete, I tend to transfer everything over to my bank. The majority of my purchases are in the US, they seem to take Paypal charges in their stride.
  7. Me too, meethinks...................
  8. Here, here !! It's just a way to skim off a few shekels - thing is if you ask if seller wants to be paid via Friends/Family he'll pretty much always say "yes". I prefer a bank transfer, no fees there.
  9. A couple of Dutch issues (never seem to find many demos)
  10. I have all three of their singles on Tower, all are vinyl, demos & issues.
  11. They're all about € 3 - 5 each, not much more. Here's thread on the Contours :
  12. Any chance scan label ?
  13. Sang some great songs in her time, another one gone
  14. I wrote an article about the group in Kev Roberts Togetherness magazine, I'll try and find it.
  15. This was the very first record I heard when I knew it was a Northern Soul one, the Catacombs, March 1972
  16. Iss The issue is the rarer of the two records. Demos go for anywhere between £100 - 120 and issues £150 - 200.00. A record well worth having.
  17. Thanks always fancied myself as an "elite"
  18. Depends on when in the 70s, from 1970 to 1973 not very big, I can only think of about 10 venues and not all of them weren't open every week and not all nighters. I guess it became bigger from about 1974 onwards once Wigan had established itself.
  19. I suspect that these high prices are due to "Bobby Weekend" DJs who can afford £100 but not £1500 for a record. Surely most people attending these venues will know that the DJs don't own these rarities ?
  20. My MFP doesn't have any dates on it.
  21. Thanks, have 2 copies on London looking for C-P or P.
  22. If it was in Aptil B & S then the article would have been written well before that date. I couldn't find any dates on the MFP album, maybe it was released before '74 ?
  23. Guess we'll never really know, some 40+ years ago
