  1. The white demo is Italian and the blue issue Spanish. Both released in 1978, hardly the peak of the Mediterranean Northern Soul scene, anybody know how these got to be issued at that time ? There were 60s Italian Cameo releases but there doesn't appear to have been any in Spain.
  2. I know a bloke that puts dishwasher rinse on his records after washing them, he then wipes it off with a cloth. He says it gives the vinyl a good shine.
  3. A couple of Minters 1 day to go.............
  4. Interesting, it was basically a 2 person bid, often makes for a high unrealistic price.
  5. Fairly Liquid or Draft, warm water, soft cloth to dry, works wonders
  6. That surprises me because the RCA Victor/ABC issues seem to go for a lot more than the the white demos.
  7. You don't see many issues about, the odd ones I've seen have all been trashed. Just how much rarer is the issue vs the demo ? Price difference ?
  8. 1 day to go............. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/Records-/176985/m.html?item=261805176891&ssPageName=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT&_ssn=watchguyone
  9. You really do wonder what the seller was thinking of ? Did he/she honestly think it would sell for that price or was it done during a drunken episode ?
  10. No comment.........................
  11. Always thought these were cool.
  12. There is also a Klu Klux Klan label
  13. Big at Wigan..................
  14. Not sure how you compare a football team/match with DJ-ing
  15. You're right, it's not done as it would affect the selling price, after all that's what it's all about on Ebay, selling at the highest price, no matter what.
  16. Many, many years ago when Dave Rimmer were a lad he wrote a post on an old, maybe the very 1st internet soul forum. Dave's wise words were. "Basically there are 2 types of soul fans who go to soul events. The first are returning soulies out for good night, perhaps reliving a part of their youth. The second type are those who want to hear the rarer records and aren't too bothered about the dancing aspect" Wise words indeed sir. The message must be get the right DJ for the right event, I know when I look at the DJ line-up whether is something for me or not.
  17. That doesn't answer the question. Floor is empty, what does a DJ do ?
  18. So as Benji says buy the bootleg book and if it's not clear then post a thread on here, maybe there is one already you can check in search box. Good luck Small tip, be wary of UK Ebay sellers, most if not all US Ebay sellers are oK
  19. Good for you
