Try and renegotiate the price, treat it with the love and care you give your partner, styrene is mans worst enemy, good luck.
  4. Who'd pay this much for a cracked record ? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Earl-Jackson-1968-ABC-45rpm-Soul-Self-Satisfaction-Johnny-Pate-Northern-Soul-/301568229258?

  7. There used to be a time that VG in the US meant almost like EX in the UK, now I find they overgrade and quite a lot too.
  8. I bought a £400 record (Chubby Checker) the bloke posted it signed for and after 2 weeks I asked where it was, he sent me the tracking number and I went into the web tracker and it showed as being delivered. Major panic. Cut a long story short, the postie had signed it, dropped it off at my next door neighbour who was on holiday for 2 weeks. She came round and gave it to me, I made a stink with our post office, they did nothing, same old postie, didn't even say sorry the pillock. Burn 'em that's what I say, good luck.

You can appeal their decision, I've done in similar circumstances, I did via their on-line chat type function. Good luck.
  14. I know you can get mechanical watches repaired cheaply in India but you do need someone you can trust to do it for you. Someone from our factory who went there for 3 weeks got 2 watches repaired for about £15.00, it only took 2 days.
  15. This is another one that didn't work properly then one day it just did, my current "top end watch" a super Pagol V30.
  16. I used to have an Omega Seamaster automatic, late 70s model, gave perfect time then one day it stopped and nothing I could do could get it started so I put it away and after 6 months took it out gave it a shake and it started working again perfectly. So I sold it
  17. Thanks, good idea, need somehow to get the screw back off...........

  20. Has this ever been booted ? I have a mint copy that just looks too good to be true. Run out scratched m-17261-1B that's all. Just checked against my Joanie Sommers that has HX 14392-3 and 55, I know that's an original. Both the run-outs look the same too. Here are the label scans.
  21. I have a Citizen automatic watch, it's about + - 15 years old and now sticks, works now and then but not 100%. Can you get these types of watches serviced at a reasonable price ? I scoured the internet but only found places that asked £150.00, I can buy a new one cheaper. Anybody got any experience ?
  22. Then you don't know Ian, forget it if he says wasn't played and is a boot then it is.
