  1. The Sayles looks OK but not sure about the Sam & Kitty
  2. There were 2 boots made the Alexander Patten & Jerry Cook - Hurt on the other side. Only way to tell the JC is daisy stamp/vinyl thickness, again I think there's been quite a few threads about these 2 on Soul Source over the years. Original Boot
  3. No he only got the labels, there is a difference between the originals and boots, the boots have thicker vinyl.
  4. That....is a lot of money, just bought one, also DJ Copy on here for £100.00. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191674741962?ssPageName=STRK:MEDWX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1435.l2649
  5. There's one on Ebay.com for sale if you're not sorted.
  6. It just gets crazier and crazier.......................
  7. Can anyone post a scan of this issue, not sure I've ever seen one. I wonder how many people have had thinking it was a boot ?
  8. Only ever seen the daisy stamp ones.............
  9. Mike Ritson's - The In Crowd
  10. What to look for on the Canadian issue.
  11. It was Simon Soussan who bluffed his way into Capitol records and waltzed out with a box of blank labels.
  12. I sold one on Ebay for £62.00, they usually go for about £30 - 40. They really are tough to tell from the originals, the labels are genuine.
  13. Here's the thread on the Canadian issue, if you look closely you'll see the word 'Canada" on the Canadian issue.
  14. There have been many threads on this, trawl back through this section. Easiest way to see is via the label. Original has text all on one line, the boot text on 2 lines.
  15. Original only.
  16. I actually don't see the scene being killed right now, guess in a year or two's time we'll see where we are but for now it's thriving.
  17. Yes indeed congratulations
  18. Natural forces will see a return to normality. People won't pay £600.00 for an Epitome of Sound and promoters will lose money with empty venues. We've seen it before it's nothing new, what will kill the scene perhaps will be the 1000s and 1000s of old soulies leaving the scene with perhaps a few hundred younger soul fans still hanging on.
  19. Be surprised to see one sell for that kind of money now, if it was mint + could go for a bit but I'm sticking to my 50 - 60 quid
  20. 3. Vinyl pressing, light blue label (exactly the same label as the original and an excellent lookalike), but with a very narrow run-out on the A-side. That's the one you have to watch out for, really tough to tell, many people will sell both as the wrong type without knowing it. Original Boot
  21. You don't see many, I would expect about £50 - 60 depending on condition.
  22. I went back to Hose street for the 1st time in about 30+ years and was quite surprised to see all the houses around the place, didn't really notice it at the time I believe Dave Rivers still has the original newspaper article about the court case and close of the Torch in 1973.
  23. This looks like it's for sale.
  24. It was a very long time ago, they were demos where the "DJ Copy" had been scratched off the label.
