  1. Perhaps I can sum up. Niknak bought 1000 soul records, received 1050+ so less than a £1.00 each. On top of that you received a quantity of pressings that are not generally for sale but probably could be sold for £100.00 each on Ebay. So I'm guessing the total value of what you got was about £2000/2500 at least, not bad. Here's a link to Ian Levines podcast, the listeners give very good feedback for some of those you received. https://www.mixcloud.com/ianlevine35/solid-soul-sensations-a-very-special-and-unique-podcast/ You got for what you paid and more what's the complaint again ?
  2. So you paid less than £1.00 per record ? By your own reckoning they are worth £3.00 each or more, I would have thought that was a good deal ?
  3. Can you say how many records you bought and at what (total) price ?
  4. With 118 Northern & Rare soul records there's something for everyone. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/watchguyone/m.html?item=262252316112&ssPageName=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562
  5. There some blue coloured original labels guess rarer than the green ?
  6. I see this at about £4000 now, with just over 3 weeks to go do we think it will go to £10.000 - ish ?
  7. Fab poster
  8. Not sure how old this article is, quite cute. https://www.theguardian.com/music/musicblog/2014/feb/05/belgium-popcorn-underground-music-scene-europe-northern-soul
  9. I may regret this (if it needs any work or servicing, costs a bomb) but I really wanted to go get another Seamaster
  10. Thanks, so seller will need about £10.000, wonder if it ill ?
  11. The seller will have to pay JM commission any idea how much that is ? Guessing seller will have to sell at the original price and JM's commission to break even at least. Can anybody do the maths ?
  12. Good thread doesn't always be a £1000 record.
  13. IS it the same one from a couple of years ago ? Was it a seller living in Australia ?
  14. The Drifters was the one played in the 70s I don't ever remember Staircase getting any airplay.
  15. Always sad of course, loved some of their stuff.
  16. The Drifters version of "Baby what I mean" is far, far better than Staircase otherwise would have got the airplay.
  17. Did a Popsike a French got £15.00 as did an Australian, last UK went for £45.00, I stand corrected. I have a US that I'll sell next month.
  18. The song appeared on an episode of Ali McBeal. The UK CBS is not so rare as you'd think, they go for about £20 - 25. There's a French picture sleeve worth looking for.
  19. C'mon guys, for heavens sake, what the heck is going on ? 2 - 3 times their value (well done the seller though) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121845870254?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121845870254?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

  21. You do wonder where this one is going to end at : https://www.ebay.co.uk/myb/Summary?MyEbayBeta&MyEbay=&gbh=1&guest=1 This is more like the right price (or maybe less) https://www.popsike.com/Northern-Soul-Jack-Montgomery-Dearly-beloved-original-US-Scepter-label/262078446775.html A bit of patience and you'll find a decent one at a bit more than a 100 quid.
  22. I have to say I've never ever paid local sales tax via Ebay purchases in the even for records that got shipped to my US address (when I had one) sellers were both private and commercial companies.
  23. Looks like he's asking for the local sales tax. Does he know that record would be shipped abroad ?
