  1. Just bought one on behalf of a friend, mint at £85.00 so I'm guessing that's a decent price.
  2. You should get one for about £750 - 850 just be patient.
  3. Shorted............................
  4. This was mostly done at the request of soul fans (not called that at the time). I remember being in a record shop (remember them ?) in about 1969 together with shop assistant, her record catalogue and a sales rep seeing what could still be bought, mostly from Polydor and President.
  5. The issue that says "The Tempos" must be worth + - £200.00 ?
  6. That's for sure......................
  7. Yes I would agree but I've seen them sell for about £50.00 too !!
  8. Should costs (depending on value) about $15.00, no more, I always question and contact seller if I think post cost are too high, you'd be surprised how many do reduce them.
  9. I now am in the habit of looking at postage costs on the package, if it's a new or re-used carton mailer and then asking for a refund BEFORE I leave any feedback.
  10. That's a very good question. Already by 1969 UK record companies were being forced to re-issue soul records. Think of The Spellbinders on Direction, Doris Troy on Toast, those later TMG releases, Fascinations, Gene Chandler and all those President releases, there's a big list. You can trace the beginnings of the UK (Northern) scene emerging at about that time.
  11. I think there even 2 UK release an early Black Mercury and a later "super styrene" silver one (yuk) but that dark blue US one is a legitimate re-issue.
  12. This is my Ronnie Walker, a 1970s legitimate re-release and my Canadian Madeline Bell, original release. Quite similar
  13. An original please, anything VG+ or better, sensible, customer friendly price
  14. Tracking for sure when I get stuff from the US that's sent by USPS st International I can even track it on our Belgian post system.
  15. I'm seeing 1970s re-issues going for £70.00+ and originals for as little as £45.00 - I would have thought that this was a £100.00 tune nowadays ?
  16. Yes official 1970s re-release, Canadian releases look similar.
  17. Read this : "INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS READ CAREFULLY: International shipping is via the new Ebay Global Shipping Program. This is a good deal, as the cost is a few dollars more than First Class mail, but tracking and insurance is included. Input your country into the "shipping detail" section for rates. Ebay will provide an invoice at end of auction. If your country is not included in this program, 1st Class mail is $20 (each additional $4), but I will require buyer to pay with an alternative to Paypal. Otherwise, if you pay with Paypal, it must ship Priority Mail insured at cost of around $40 (each additional $3). Please bid ONLY if this is agreed/understood." Famous last words, the item he sold went for about 60% of the current UK buying price.
  18. Heard it played at Bury Town Hall about 9 years ago, along with Edwin Starr - Weakness is you and Marv Johnson - I miss you.
  19. There some pretty amazing pictures on this BBC article. http://www.bbc.com/travel/story/20160515-the-places-the-world-forgot
  20. Saw him perform for the 1st time in 25+ years in Los Angeles back in 2004, what a singer.
  21. Be very surprised if it was a boot, "Champion" got released quite early on UK London.
