  2. Did you tell the world at the time it was a made to measure ?
  3. "Can't get away" "My little girl" & "try a little harder" all played at the Torch & Catacombs, don't think they were played at Wheel though, Julien would be better placed to comment.
  4. It's so recent that buyers have yet to realise the consequencies, once they start getting their Visa card bills that could change.
  5. When I was in the US in 2009 after the last UK pound crash I did see a reduction in dollar prices but I suspect you're right when you say that US sellers will not "get" a decling currency, let's not forget about 95+% of NS purchases are to the UK.
  6. You can always ask your seller to put value at $25.00, almost all will do that for you. I usually make it a condition of buying, most sellers know that if you are going to pay £50.00 or imports that's less money for them
  7. I guess we'll all see over the next few weeks how things go on Ebay, always a good Litmus test. When this happened last time in 2009 US sellers did lower their prices. It will be interesting to see if people are prepared to pay £250 instead of £200 for a record. I will certainly bear it in mind, boy!! bring back the £1.00 = $1.90 days
  8. Being sold from Argentina, maybe they don't get NBC, CCN or Fox News down there.
  9. In the mid 1970s there was a whole gaggle of these made & sold, I can't remember the name of the shop, I think it was in Leighton Buzzard, anyway they made/sold Richard Temple, Jimmy Conwell, Bobby Garrett and others. At the time it was very difficult to tell from originals, I have been sold many by people who swear they're originals based on the fact it had been in their collection since the 1970s If it's styrene you're OK, pity about the sound quality.
  10. That's not strictly true, there are some very desirable European issues about, Frankie & Johnny on Belgian Decca, PP Arnold on Italian Immediate and French RCA, Frank Beverly on Greek and Italian, I have a whole list of European issues, now they are of course "oldies" they'd have to be, not sure it's 100% European but I'd murder for a Lebanese copy of Earl Jackson.
  11. The crazy thing is that you can get an original US Brunswick for about £100
  12. Not sure if this really is a joke or the seller is serious............... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/The-Cooperettes-Shing-A-Ling-Uk-Brunswick-BR-22-Vinyl-7-Very-Rare-Promo-Copy/201667959656?_trksid=p2055119.c100022.m2048&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D37315%26meid%3D33c26ddc95a24c2f86ac861dd6b3bf41%26pid%3D100022%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D2%26sd%3D142124724795
  13. Had four of those, sold them now, never had a Jimmy Mack - My world is on fire. I just never found one at a decent price, they always too much for those being sold.
  14. I'm assuming the total slaes price would have been + - £60.00, any reason you didn't send registered, signed for ?
  15. Perhaps one of the most worrying aspects is that sellers don't even know they're listed as using this system. Just bought something from the UK to Belgium, seller has the EGS at £9.50, I contested that and he shipped for £3.70, he said he didn't know that he'd agree to use it. That's not the 1st time this has happened, you really have to contest this when buying, all I do is ask the postage costs, they always come back cheaper than that freckling rip-off.
  16. Always thought these were pretty cool..........
  17. Eeh by gum lad.............................. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/222255295676?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  18. Story is that"Out on the floor" was specially made for the movie, because of the reaction of film crew and the few people whe actually went to see it Charger records decided to release it. Well worth tracking down the clip from the film. Alternatively here's the complete film : You'll find track at about 1 hour 16 minutes.
  19. Of course Dobie Gray singing "Out on the floor" one of the ultimate appearances. "Out of sight" the movie.
  20. They also appeared in a dreadful teen flick "Dr Goldfoot and the Bikini machine"
  21. About half a dozen turned up about 6 or 7 years ago They got sold within a matter of hours.
  22. I am surprised that this is at £45.00 already with 8 hours to go. A quick check on what the current prices are, I see a re-issue went for £95.00 last year. A bit of patience and you'll get an original for about £50.00. I guess people think it's "now or never" and bid their wallets off. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/112122982844?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  23. Every death is a tragedy, as a teenager his stuff got played just about everywhere, RIP.
