  1. The thickest I have are Canadian releases on Quality, REO, etc. Think the thinnest would be UK TMG ?
  2. You'll find they're very fast in shipping.
  3. Try Covers 33. https://www.covers33.co.uk/
  4. A mate of mine is looking for a cheap copy of "Love is here and now you're gone" VG+ or better. Anyone help ? Thanks
  5. Yes it is, matrix number puts it's release as 1965, well done.
  6. Nearly as crazy as she is.................
  7. Better than the Showmen, expect £30 - 45 for mint demo.
  8. Divide by 5
  9. Under Thatcher is peaked to over $2.00 to the UK pound.
  10. I always do it's well worth it.
  11. With the UK£ still dropping don't be surprised at a £1.00 = $1.00 exchange rate some time soon, can't believe sales won't be affected if that happens.
  12. Sales tax on the original sale in the US was paid when 1st purchased. The US seller does not have any option to send free of tax so in effect you end up paying tax twice and that was never the purpose. If you buy a new item in say Australia for shipment to the UK then the sale price will be free of any taxes, of course that gets paid by the importer upon arrival so tax is only paid once. How about this, you buy in the US at say $500.00 ask seller to send to a friend within the US, no sales tax paid. Your friend then sends it/them to you, there's no sale from him/her to you so value is only a nominal amount (for a 2nd hand item) it's gets a value of $25.00 you pay no tax (here in Belgium anyway). The EEU policy (yes folks you're still in it) is that tax is only paid once so you may be technically breaking but not in spirit. Well, that's what I tell myself anyway. Lastly I once (and only once) bought a gaggle of expensive records out of a basement from an estate UK sales value about $4.000 (3 copies of the Trends:-) I paid about $400.00 for some 200 records what do you do, declare the $4000 or $400 ? If you say 400 then that could be construed as fraud.
  13. We were there at that time but I don't remember them, it's possible.
  14. https://www.ebay.com/itm/BILLY-DAVIS-STANKY-IVE-TRIED-ON-COBBLESTONE-FUNK-45-/152129180167?hash=item236b9b1207:g:WYEAAOSwdsFXS4jh
  15. Did you tell the world at the time it was a made to measure ?
  16. "Can't get away" "My little girl" & "try a little harder" all played at the Torch & Catacombs, don't think they were played at Wheel though, Julien would be better placed to comment.
  17. It's so recent that buyers have yet to realise the consequencies, once they start getting their Visa card bills that could change.
  18. When I was in the US in 2009 after the last UK pound crash I did see a reduction in dollar prices but I suspect you're right when you say that US sellers will not "get" a decling currency, let's not forget about 95+% of NS purchases are to the UK.
  19. You can always ask your seller to put value at $25.00, almost all will do that for you. I usually make it a condition of buying, most sellers know that if you are going to pay £50.00 or imports that's less money for them
  20. I guess we'll all see over the next few weeks how things go on Ebay, always a good Litmus test. When this happened last time in 2009 US sellers did lower their prices. It will be interesting to see if people are prepared to pay £250 instead of £200 for a record. I will certainly bear it in mind, boy!! bring back the £1.00 = $1.90 days
  21. Being sold from Argentina, maybe they don't get NBC, CCN or Fox News down there.
  22. In the mid 1970s there was a whole gaggle of these made & sold, I can't remember the name of the shop, I think it was in Leighton Buzzard, anyway they made/sold Richard Temple, Jimmy Conwell, Bobby Garrett and others. At the time it was very difficult to tell from originals, I have been sold many by people who swear they're originals based on the fact it had been in their collection since the 1970s If it's styrene you're OK, pity about the sound quality.
  23. That's not strictly true, there are some very desirable European issues about, Frankie & Johnny on Belgian Decca, PP Arnold on Italian Immediate and French RCA, Frank Beverly on Greek and Italian, I have a whole list of European issues, now they are of course "oldies" they'd have to be, not sure it's 100% European but I'd murder for a Lebanese copy of Earl Jackson.
  24. The crazy thing is that you can get an original US Brunswick for about £100
