  7. I'm looking for some info and label scans for UK issued singles. I'm writing a magazine article and I'm looking for label scans of 1st UK issues and then the later 69/70s re-issues. For example - Duets - Every beat of my heart on Stateside then the President re-issue, The Spellbinders on CBS then on Direction, Doris Troy on Cameo Parkway, re-issue on Toast, those 1st issue Motown and later 68/70 re-issues. I'll give full credits to those used. Either post them on this thread or send to : Soulcharger@hotmail.com Also if you know the original and re-issue dates that would be great. Thanks Chris L

  11. That UK Motown tour of 1965 must rank as one of the earliest true "soul tours", I know the Spellbinders toured the UK in 1966 and performed at the Twisted Wheel.

  13. Always thought their ska/blue beat/rocksteady/reggae labels were cool................
  14. Sunny, you smiled at me and really eased the pain. The dark days are gone, and the bright days are here, My Sunny one shines so sincere. Sunny one so true, I love you. Great words from a great singer, as someone already said here Love, love, love epitomises the early Northern Soul scene as does You want to change me the later years. By all accounts a great person. I remember some years ago at a NS venue coming across a UK Philips copy of Love, love, love.......................for a £1.00 !! I thought at the time what a piece of wonderful music for a next to nothing cost.
