Makes perfect sense, the only white Roulette demos I had/have had a thick black broken line going round the label.

Looks like I found me a UK PYE copy, interesting to see the US issues, two styles of Roulette label. The traditional " red and yellow and the newer plain red label, plus two types of demos, one white and the other like an issue but with DJ Copy printed on it.

MAGIC NIGHT If You And I Had Never Met, I assume a US recording ? Issued on Roulette in the US and PYE in the UK. How much do they go for and what's it best (for resale should that be necessary) to get on US or UK ? Recorded in 1975 , Sounds like a 80s for sure................. thanks

There is no such thing as the correct or right price for a NS record. It's probably going to sell for about $80 - 100. But who knows , Maybe someone really wants it (shock-horror even two) and they'll bid till they get it. I've seen Chubby Checkers on UK C-P go all within 2 months of each other from £122 to £510 - the truth is, you just don't know........... -
From what I see most records are heading downwards pricewise but the "rare few" are actually increasing............

I checked on Popsike and it gave about 10 copies as having being sold on Ebay. They went from £400.00 at the peak now running at about £150.00. I think there's another site like Popsike, not sure what it's called, something like Vinylmaniacs or somesuchsimilar. Anywhere else you look for records that sold ?

This copy has recently appeared on Ebay, with a reserve of around £400.00. Didn't sell, 2nd time around only received 1 bid of £50.00. VG+

I believe that Jay Proctor tells a stories of when they toured in the South of the USA and he was forbidden to stay at the same hotels as the rest of the band, he did anyway, the group would eat with room-service and the guy delivering was usually a black. He said the group would make humour of it and pretended not to understand what hotel and restaurant owners said to them. Bizarre !

Records of this ilk don't seem to get a playing anywhere anymore, probably a good thing, had it's day at a time when NS was in danger of crossing over to pure pop.
