  3. Just to lighten the mood here's a story that you can will make you both laugh and cry about said record. When johnathan woodliffe obtained said record. He couldn't resist showing it to everyone on the coach to cleethorpes. Several people took it from its crisp white sleeve to check it over, eventually ending up on the back seat with Rob Smith. Whom proceeded to turn it on its side and said single fell from the sleeve and rolled the full length of the coach into the foot well of the door the look of shock and horror on everyone's face was priceless. Fortunately the said sound lived to be hammered to death.

  15. OK not much known about this track apart from its a unknown philly singer and there's two different takes. The original version keb used to play and I also heard butch play a slightly funkier take a couple of years ago at the 100 club. Any idea who the singer may be??
  16. I don't think it's greed either, it's a case of I think I can promote a venue better than anyone else and common curtosiy of checking clashing dates just goes out the window. The other reason maybe they don't want their venue running when it's half term for schools. Flight, and accommodation price double or triple in some cases. Hence the promoter having to clash.

  23. Have to agree radio 2 dj's should have at least done a little more background research, Ken Bruce talking with Tito Jackson about how gladys Knight took them to motown then plays midnight train to Georgia. Oops buddah release from 1973 not motown Ken. Richards hour was by far the most informative. You'd have expected more from the BBC dj, s
