It was the first tonys nighter run by guy h and ian t. me ( steve phillis and kitch ) at the beginning out side then 1 37 in me dancing next to the guy in red hooped t shirt 1.48 my feet spinning this was the night the mello souls was first unleashed upon use covered as the del-larks along with fred & the turbines covered as the teenturbans the devotions covered as the magictones along with a shed load of other great tunes 4 .40 in a young carl fortnum 4.50 gary zabroski from wellingborough 7.50 the wee mr darge just coming out a spin the film crew where trying most of the night to catch him in full flight on the floor they got some great footage but never used most of it mad me laugh when i first saw this you have guy d.jing with kebs voice lol great memories steve

  8. went to the palias from 75 onwards brill times with mick h ,and the rest of the colemans crew the first palias niters were late 79 there was only 3niters at this time d.j's were richard searling ,soul sam ,dave raistrick, john poole, gary rushbrooke etc. then in mid 80's i was asked to do saturday nights down in the bali ia which eventually lead to nighters in late 84 to 86 the revivals were originally run by stu morris who had soul sessions at the painted windows around the same time then these where taken over by john wilkinson top nights :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:

  11. most the copies that have turned up seem to have the labels reversed and in deed this was a rob marriott spin in the early 90's great tune that deserves more spins :thumbup:

Hi russ it's just like anything else sooner or later every one gets fed up with things. like you say you have to keep things fresh i myself have sold three huge collections over 30 odd years .the first two i let go because i wanted to change my musical direction i sold 2 oldies collections that people these days would have killed for ,everything from cecil washington to beverly ann 4000 singles in total went. i bought every big stafford record of the day plus a shed load of unknowns , mid 90's i sold all them to buy a house. i am now on my 4th collecton not as good as the last 3 but loads of nice ovo my moto is never sell mate you always regret it just keep things fresh try a few different bits of other gernes atb steve c u on the 16th dec

  22. Well there's a sad day a coming if the rumours iv'e heard are true it appear's were about to lose the service's of two of the countries top d.j's , ive heard that both Butch and Mick . H are about to call it a day. can anyone shed any light on this ? if true then the scene will spiral into decline even more .
  23. just been back on e.bay the copy that was up yesterday has been withdrawn for some reason it states auction ended but it only went on yesterday

That's probably the case Glyn as this is probably on most forward thinking d.j's collector's wants list's apart from the blessed few who own a copy already ' and with it being around from the latter day's of the casino you'd have thought it would have surfaced by now if there was quantity of it.

Well just been on the old dreaded e.bay and would you believe it another copy of the brilliant nu rons " all of my life " for sale , thats two copies in as many weeks. admittedly you never see it for sale ,but is this just coincidence or are we about to see a slow flood of them as with the four tracks
