  3. Yes keb spin first off an Atlantic 7" acetate , wasn't covered up though, played same time. as the shortcuts cover up which turned out to be Sam and dave which was also acetate
  4. Yes Steve, Rob and Derek did have them earlier 76 was the first time I heard Rob play it, at a local do in Notts

Cashmeres was a casino spin for Richard searling covered up as the volcanoes 79 L Allen first spun at Yate 78 Ruby Andrews was first spun at rock city Notts by Jim wensoria and myself mid 80's Tommy ridgley was spun by Johnathan woodliffe covered as Bobby Robinson Notts palais 78 way before Richard played it Hytones was a Stafford spin for pat Brady covered up as lee Otis valentine mid 80's
  7. I agree but would the masses have appreciated it ,like the scene goers of the 80's onwards so many butch spins would have been big at casino with the right crowd . But by the end of the casino the scene was already fragmented with the introduction of the oldie's nighters. Which meant the masses could escape the new sounds .

  15. It is with a sad heart heard of the passing of John Cross from Long Eaton Notts, he was one of the first people I spoke to when I first started going to the legendary Brit club in Notts. He was always a regular on the niter scene and regular at all the Notts venues. He will be sadly missed by the Notts crowd Condolences to his family R. I. P John
  16. The mello souls we can make it from the first night butch unleashed it upon the soul scene this as and will always been my favourite, from those first cords it just grabs you, and I'm sure eventually it will be played at my funeral. Love it

  19. Barnaby bye were Bobby alessi, Billy alessi, peppy castro Mike ricciardella the group were formed in73 by peppy formerly of the blue magoos. But if you listen to can't live this way and the alessi, s hit Lori I'd say they where definitely lead on both. The four members are the only line up of the group. That are listed.

  23. Think you Will find it was spun at the torch first, remember a old friend from Notts telling me it was spun there when I was first getting into the scene in 74.
