Well seen a article on fb the other day re Notts soul nites .For some reason this didn't get a mention Saturday nite sessions in the bali hi ran for 3 years and was a major part of promoting the 60, so mafia sounds of Stafford with regular guest sets from Guy & Keb What's your memories if you attended Steve
  2. Both copies I've had where styrene hence the slight hiss on many of the early copies to turn up a long with a slight jump

  7. Ok some of you are semi right it was first played by both Gary and guy at the tudor court in draycott derby in 1982 twas a cold winter's nite remember it well as I walked the 4 miles from Stapleford to get there as buses weren't running :-):-)

Yes very sad news I also had known dave since they early 80 I met him on a train going from Grantham to Notts he was going to robs records were I worked back then and I was returning from Dave Raistrick.s with a demo copy of Alfie Davidson Dave said excuse me mate you selling that at all I'll give you £ 80 for it lowe struck up a conversation and remained friends since r.i.p mate condolences to your family

Seriously comments like this make me glad I now only go out around 10 times a year in the late 70, s and 80's we kept the scene alive with the hope new sounds would be accepted by the masses .but we were wrong the narrow mindedness of attitudes like this have killed the best underground music scene Rant over

  22. Not sure but would say 300 max bought a copy back in 78 for 50p from a junk shop in Notts played it covered up at time as Jimmy bishop great tune seldom heard these days
