My first three plays at the moment would be Soulful suspects " funky drop " black prince Impressions " potent love " custom lp followed by Lee fields & Sharon Jones " I'll be around " unissued daptone .I carry both 60 rarities underplayed modern & crossover and a handful of oldies .get to the venue early study crowd reaction and always be prepared for anything. :-):-)

  8. Following on from the Sebastian Williams room much thread here's another over looked track I brought at the same time .It's by Joanne king "Let them love and be loved" fairmount . A mid to uptempo philly number which sounds very similar in parts to Vickie Baines country girl Your thought on this one guy Steve

I've been on the scene since 74 and seen more changes to the musical styles of the scene than I can remember some are great other not so .This music will take you on a never ending journey enjoy every second like I have. You'll make long lasting friendships too .cd, s mp3, home use only sounds better on vinyl At Steve . .

Now here's a sound you don't see for sale to often serbastian Williams "too much /home town boy" sounds of soul first came across this in 1979 brought it from Johnathan woodliffe for £15 as a total unknown at the time played it covered up as Lester Tipton for a few years before selling it to keb. Would be a great tune to revive. Your thoughts guys Steve

  14. So as I stated earlier the pressing plant that produces these boots needs to be identified and closed so these parasites can no longer operate. Surely the investigation must be looking into who manufacturers these boots .must be a big set up.

  19. Let's not forget the remaining original members of these two super groups fought long hard legal battles with berry gordy to keep the group names . And it's only relatively recently that the four tops line up as changed .

Yesterday we went to a superb little Midlands venue had a great day picked up a couple of flyers handed out for other venues one which stated original ovo the other states another venue being 100% vinyl now is this original vinyl or 100% bootleg vinyl ????? The venue attended had nothing to do with either flyer.
  21. Hi chalky your correct it was the mirwood Shirley Matthews whom allegedly was the belles lead singer too. There was an article on here in the past about this . And why would mirwood record two artists with the same name .??

Hi gilly also remember you telling me the magnetics story then seeing them perform it live at Prestatyn brought the hairs on my neck up spine tingling moment for us all I even got them to autograph my black and white photo which has pride of place in the record room .then speaking with them on Prestatyn see front on the Sunday morning .I'll definitely have a copy of your book mate Regards Steve
  23. Not sure tony I've had three copies of LNS over the years can't remember who had any of them must be a age thing . Do remember it having cue burn though so it may have got to you via who I sold it to. When I got it of keb it was my top want did the deal on stage at Stafford traded cairos which both keb & guy wanted
