Has to be George Pepp - Feeling Is Real (Coleman).
Don't know how much this goes for these days. Last copy I saw was at a Hyde allnighter circa 91? would it? Had one in me hands but I was only 17 and didnt have that sort of brass in them days...Hang on, dont have that sort of brass these days either!
Off to buy a ticket or two now!

Thanks for that - didn't know about that one.
For me the whole late 60s - Mid 70s Florida soul sound hit the right balance between southern /deep/funkier side of soul as well as out and out Northern / Soul / Funk etc.

Cheers Jason -
Can't seem to find a full listing so when I get some free time I'll have a dig / scour / cut and paste session and cobble one together. Sad I know....
If anyone would like a copy PM me and I'll forward one on. Long reign Miami, FL SOUL!

Can't seem to find anything really about the group - A studio creation of David Jordan ( Who wrote / produced it ). I can only assume it is a anonymous session singer? Tho this does have a habit of being someone who rare soul fans know. Good tune tho - Been selling at silly prices recently.

Who knows - But as Tony R pointed out it -
"It was first put out by Ace on a CD, and has never been licensed out for reissue by anyone. Especially not the person who's bootlegged it. "
It seems nothing is sacred when it comes to Ebay / Boot sellers. Some people should know better.

Great track - but flip it over for 'I May Be Right I May Be Wrong' - PLay this bugger LOUD and tell me it ain't a great 70s dancer - Slightly on the funkier side but IMHO a belter!
Rich
Dozens ockers! Dozens! I bl***dy wish mate.
Aside from that - Did pick up a nice southern beater of a 45 from Jamie Ross which I havent seen too much.

Hi Ken/All
Sorry for late reply - Have been away from the racks! Yes I do have an issue - The black / multi colour MCA. B Side is 'Two Points ' and taken from the My Favourite Fantasy LP. I know Rod at Voices had copies so anyone wanting one should try contacting him. Price wise I think I paid about a tenner but IMO a crackin uplifting track which should garner a few plays. I'll scan my copy and post up later.

Coming this week from the latest Voices In The Shadows list (And a belter it is too - )
Mind Readers - Bet You Didn't Know (Village Sounds)
Jesse Butler - Best Part (Bound Sound)
General Lee & The Space Army Band - We Did It (Lost Weekend)
Mystic - Thats The Kind Of Love (Art)
And plopped thru the letterbox this morning:
Five Wagers - Come & Ask Me (Tiara)
Topics - Try A Little Love (Heavy Duty)
Little Dooley - Pity for The Lonely (KoKo) - Nearly completed the label!
Jimmy Coleman - Cloudy Days (revue)
George Jackson - My Desires Are Getting The Best Of Me (Fame)
Weird Soul Collecting Fact: The only 2 UK 45s I've found cheap at a record fair are both from the immortal George Jackson - One a UK 'Desires' and a 'Patrcia' on London. Now have nice shiny US copies!

Hi Macca
Surely a breach of selling / misleading description? Log a complaint with paypal and get some backing from a recognised dealer to back you up?

I'm pretty sure I have an issue of this at home (Memory blank here) - (Speakers not working at mo' at work so can't tell if its same one )
If it is - I got one from Rod Dearlove at Voices a couple of months ago for I think about £8-£10. Absolutley raved over and a great 45.

This was one of the first soul records I ever heard. It was on an old Marble Arch LP showcasing the new sounds of '66 that my Dad had, along with Litttle Milton Man Loves Two, Joe Tex Baby You're Right....
Your right Jo - Esther Phillips does seem right - Seem to remember ( I think) Andy Dyson C/U on a sales tape as Big Maybelle - And secondly yes - It is far far better record than Please Tell Me..

All things go well - I'll be moving into a bigger house and finally FINALLY I'll get me own record room...
Decks set up - Shelving put up - Posters / Framed autographs - 45s/LPs filed nicely - Maybe a small sofa and coffee table to peruse the latest Soul mag or record list.
Whats in yours? Is it your safe house from the 'normal' world - a place to go where only the US 45s understand what your saying? Do you need a bigger one? Did the estate agent look at you funny when your better half said ' See you can have this room for your records ' and feel like you were ten years old?
