But with a better flip (218) !! (In my opinion of course!)
-
Sussex # 214 is the cheaper one. Release # 218 was the one on auction. Though to be fair it's been steadily rising in price for a while.
-
Brilliant service every time. Many thanks Mike.

You do wonder if sellers actually want to sell anything or just lob them onto discogs and ebay in the hope someone bites. I've blocked a few sellers on discogs who want me to drop ship and one who buys stuff and puts super ridiculous prices on (this I did on principle) As Chalky rightly states above I've bought more 45s from USA / Europe where the record is priced right and postage is realistic and so far I've avoided duty fees etc. making it far cheaper than UK sellers. I did ask one very well known seller if he'd take an offer on a 45 that was priced at least twice as it's actual value only to be turned down. Off I went to the states. Needless to say that 45 is still for sale months on...

Double O's Demingo - Color One Tear Black
Harrogatesoul replied to Nigeljag's topic in Look At Your Box
I think one went through Anglo auction last year? Can't remember the price but I think it was four figures and not a great copy either from memory. -
Stax or Motown what's your preference?
Harrogatesoul replied to Fiftyboiledeggs's topic in All About the SOUL
Between the two? Stax everytime. Just been a preference since I started collecting. I've only a few dozen Motown 45s but I collect Stax and related labels. Nothing against Motown per se just prefer the grittier sound of Stax. -
Was at £2125 with literally a minute to go.
-
Congratulations Mike and to all who have contributed over the last 25 years.
-
Will take a properly graded Vg+ copy at minimum. (I've had some shockers recently which were G+ at best) Thanks in advance!
-
Mick if you subscribe to their mailing list (off the website) the following Monday Tim sends out the results via email. Hope that helps.
-
That seller also has a copy of Winfield Parker @ nearly £800... Some of his prices are a joke. An unfunny one if folk buy at their/those prices. But as they say there's always one.... Edit. Correction there certainly is one who bought Kim Tibbs red vinyl @75 quid. I'd love the idea of the purchaser coming on here and explaining why they thought it was a good idea to buy a single for £75 which is readily available from Patrick @izipho soul for £14.

Hi Mal Ted Jarrett also ran with Valdot, Cherokee, Poncello. Don't know if he owned Spar but he certainly produced a lot of material. Tee Jay seemed to be revived or continued with the T-Jaye imprint later in the 70s / early 80s. Also wrote a book: https://www.amazon.co.uk/You-Can-Make-Try-Nashville/dp/1577363671
