Visited for first time last week November. A pleasant evening ruined by a Mr Jobsworth a 60+ short dark haired guy.
The floor was sticky and i noticed there was talc on parts of floor so I put talc under my table on the edge of dance floor. Few mins later I felt an arm around my shoulder as I was at table and and advised me that anyone using talc risks being banned. A complete stranger putting an arm around me was creepy to say least. I explained it was my first visit and didn’t see anything on Soul Source or at the venue plus others were using talc.
Then he said he would send someone over to clean it up. No staff member ever arrived but the guy kept coming over when I was dancing and used his foot to sweep the talc further under my chair. On leaving I checked for any signs ref talc..NONE. By coincidence he was leaving same time and I asked where the no talc signs were. He never answered but went on about some incident in the foyer recently. I shudve asked who he was really. His tone and manner was appalling. Solution…PUT UP A CLEAR NO TALC SIGN AT VENUE. Won’t be going there again. KTF
This is a big thumbs up for Christine and Russell!!
Thanks both for making my visit yesterday so welcoming. Brilliantly organised and a great range of music across the board......even played Billy Storm “educated fool” which you don’t hear much these days.
Great day out!!
