Some great versions posted, but imho you just can't touch Little Anthony. With a great arrangement and such an emotional vocal, you feel that he is really hurting. This is the version that I like to listen to Lorraine

Although I profess to not being a big fan of Smokey, I think that his version is the best. The Marvelettes is a jaunty little number and would be my second choice. Although Edwin is a 'star' his take on this is far too samey for me. Lorraine

I must start by saying a massive thank you to everyone who has given their time to make BVAN such a first class event. Thanks also for making me feel welcome on the thread and your kind comments on my music choices. Although I am looking forward to getting back out, I will honestly miss tuning in every Saturday. It has been an education, an inspiration and a crutch. Well done . Lorraine x
