  1. I used to have this...fab version...beutiful looking label as well! Not widely known at all. Good price.
  2. Another fab (and thankfully cheap!) one from the Brothers Isley:
  3. Little Woo Woo's version is pretty fine, rare and indemand...piercing organ-work in it! A DJ Shadow spin.
  4. I sold mine...to Pete Nice copy as I recall
  5. 400+ label scans of discs for sale now at >>> Anoraks Corner <<< Here's a couple more scans:
  6. Shame innit...every copy I've had or know of is Lo-Fi at best...and most have the labels on the wrong sides too!?
  7. I would also like to add my sincere condolences...a gentleman and a true Soul fan. Most of us on here probably had dealings and chats with Alan over his many years on our beloved scene. I think this is going to be a very long thread of respect.
  8. Hi Cliff, Been a while since I had a blue (or in Carl Fortnums case a white label***) LAndo copy...weren't they RCA pressed...possibly for the East Coast, whereas the LEndo copies (never seen a stocker) are Chicago born for the Mid-West market? Maybe? For fun I like to compare this scenario to Cody Black's 'Gone gone gone' on blue labelled RCA pressed copies (East Coast market place) versus the red label Detroit pressed ones (for local people!). The LEndo copies certainly look soooooo Chicago pressed with the drop-shadow font style, and the tell-tale short flat-edge (for want of a better term*****) running for 15mm on the edge of the label itself (on the 'So upset' side). ***- yes a LAndo white label promo as opposed to the blue label stocker...same label design...very nice and RARE. ***** - is there a technical term for this short flat-edge bit of the edge of Chicago pressed labels?! Wonder which pressing plant is responsible? Side-note: Rufus put the spelling variation down to a possible simple spelling error, as mentioned in my chat with the man himself >>> Read Here <<<
  9. Are they not simply out of different pressing plants for various regional market places?
  10. There are now x155 label scans of sales discs at AnoraksCorner.com within the Gallery on soulsource. Go directly to them by pressing >>> HERE <<<
