  1. Ouch! You've brought back a painful memory for me...and possibly my biggest vinyl mistake ever...I swapped my copy for a Bob & Earl - 'Oh! Baby Doll' on Tempe many, many moons ago.Mind you, I always wanted more from the Patti Young...the break is magnificent, but the rest kinda just plods along?!
  2. Oddly enough I listed (and sold!) this one by him over the last few weeks...a real swinging piece of R'n'B...and dare I say quite rare!?!
  3. Slight relevant tangent...can we also add the GWP team...if yes I noticed the WDs I've had over the last 12 months were different...add that to your list you RCA completists!
  4. I saw a red coloured Soundburger the other day...usually only spot the silver/black ones. There's also one with a built in tape deck too!
  5. I had a mis-labelled copy of #6701 labelled as the third one above, but actually played as the second one above, if you follow!?!
  6. Has he got the instrumental (either take) still?
  7. GuyH and Keb were both playing it c/up as 'Winfield Parker' during the early 80's...thought GuyH may have been before Keb, mind? Bought my copy at Stafford when it was still covered up...£15!
  8. duplicate post (MODS feel free to delete to keep the place tidy!)
  9. ...and that is why it is also in a few collections over here (WD and black ones).
  10. One WD and one stocker...I'm not a greedy man...the WD (on red vinyl!) will be staying here, mind!
  11. Nice one Must admit, when I first bought a copy in the mid-80's it was for the other side, 'Are you trying to get rid of me baby', which was a 'tape swappers' kinda tune. Was quite surprised when another version of that popped up on a Kent LP years later...even more surprised when IGAM kicked off as I thought (still think) it's too 'Hit the road Jack' a-like! That said, I have a spare of the rare Japanese Stateside EP with the Toys' version of IGAM on it...I think this is the only way it appears on a 7"?
  12. I've always had a soft spot for this one too...almost hypnotic the way it trundles on relentlessly
  13. Hmmm...don't think I've ever seen a stock copy...any got/had/seen one?
  14. Mr.Pountain started to push the Allan Sisters there as well.
  15. Found yesterday evening on a last minute dig: "From Atlanta to Birmingham - Deep Soul Classics" This is the original album featuring the alternate mix of Sam Dees' 'Lonely For You Baby'...the one with the count in and added backing singers. Vinyl is a strong 9 out of 10 and the sleeve is complete with the inner note/lyric sheet. £65 inc courier service P&P. ON HOLD No offers...no Paypal. Payment via £UK cheque or UK Bank transfer.
