  1. This one also came out on Atco...and the best James Marsh track is missing from the Gay-Shel listing within this thread!
  2. The James Marsh titles on the same label (albeit these are yellow) are also powerhouse crunching Texas thumpers!
  3. Though fairly rare surely...I wonder how many were made...2,000 max? You could probably write off a fair few hundred that were destroyed on bags, jackets and disguarded over the years? Then the surviving ones are usually cherished as keepsakes by those (of us), who attended the actual night and would be reluctant to sell? As for demand..no idea but.they make great items to display, look at, and smile...though I must admit all of mine are in a bag in a cupboard surrounded by records! An old piece of cloth yes, but a nice bit of historic cloth never the less. Good luck with selling chaps
  4. Stunning...essential viewing for everyone on here. Learnt a lot from that...about Tammi, Motown and life. Thanks so much for the link.
  5. Yea, you're right...my karaoke skills have improved no end...I should get back into the studio
  6. That rumour is incorrect. Barry James found them...bought a copy or two from the contact...offered to pay handsomely for further copies...bloke gets back in touch with an unopened box of x200 or so!

  8. Fabulous, just fabulous. More power to Richard, Michael and crew. If I go for the $1000 sponsorship option will I be flown in from Tokyo...Michael?! I sincerely hope the movie comes to fruition...especially if the quality is as good as the trailer!
  9. Whilst we're on a roll, how about this track...once again no artist credited...defo a New York recording...BIG production beat ballad: Unknown Artist - New Experience -
  10. In my experience the stock copy is actually rarer than the WD. Good price...someone should be happy to take it.
  11. Butch played the instrumental cut of this when he was last in Japan...sounded chuffing excellent...and yes it was on an original Virtue acetate that was shot, but played luverly! Are there any soundclips around of the instrumental?
  12. Indeed: >>> Soul Strutter <<<
  13. Forgive the bump...auction ends 18:00 UK time today, Friday 24th September. I will be online at this time to confirm the winner. Current highest bid £1176.
  14. Yes, I've had both East and West Coast proper label demos on that number...one of his best tracks ever!
  15. Good work chaps...I think we've got our man in Prince Charles, though the Jetstream 45 seems to be a (slightly) different take with Prince possibly holding back his throaty grittyness? Does your record skip at 06:57 or is that how it is...different to the acetate. I always assumed it was the same singer both sides, but on playing them again it could be two different guys...any Roy Head experts out there wanna put us out of our misery?
  16. If it is a Wand release that does not also appear as a proper labelled demo, then there is a chance it is a demo copy...stamped by the radio station, the plugger or the sales rep etc. Which disc are you actually on about?
  17. Been sat on this 7" Audiodisc acetate for six years or so, during wihch time I've not been able to place the artist, track or label. Sounds like it could easily fit in with Duke, Peacock or Sure Shot, soundwise...or maybe a tiny indie NYC label?! What a vocal...sounds very accomplised...tremendously Soulful for sure! Anyone any idea as to who he is or as to whether the track(s) reached vinyl...soundfiles below: Unknown Artist - I'll Be Around - Unknown Artist - Sick -
