  1. Sure did...have tried to upload the pic cover (jpeg), but the site won't let me at present, sorry.
  2. >>> JAN PANTER <<< Great site!
  3. Does one know the Vic Henderson version...awesome big vocal beat ballad version! The flipside is a great Popcorn/Northern danceable vocal version of Dizzy Gillespie/Cal Tjader's 'Soul Sauce'!
  4. Link doesn't work for me either. I know a nice mid-tempo number penned by Lori Burton, called, 'Stand By And Cry'...Betty Turner (US Liberty), Jan Panter (UK CBS) and Vic Henderson (US Coral - awesome!) all recorded it to good effect...is that the good side?!
  5. If anyone has a RicTic WD of 'Headline news' that they are happy to let go, please PM me. Thanks in advance! My fave...too difficult to name but one...'My Kind Of Woman' and 'I Have Faith In You' are pretty much equal tops for me!

  11. This one is a belter too...occasional AdyC spin as well:
  12. With a Dick Charles label on it?! The Mello Souls tracks were recorded and mastered at Virtue in Phillie. The Dick Charles studios were in NYC and for recording tracks in...they weren't a re-mastering service. Paging Mr.Parker.
  13. I've lost the plot a bit...is it 'suggested' that the one Des has is, or is not, an original vintage studio acetate/cut?
  14. Nice stock copy...I only ever seem to find WDs with the poorly affixed label. No doubt folk will now say they've never seen WDs!
  15. Glad you got the LP, but keep the 45...you'd only regret it if you let it go! The backing vocals actually ruin it to my ears! I used to be able to pick the 45 up fairly reasonably and sell it on at a sensible price. Haven't had a spare in a while and am also intrested in hearing people's thoughts as to a valuation...stock and demo (RARE!).
  16. From Mannie's site at present
  17. Nooooooooooooooooo, you're kidding...too repetitive...much prefer the 45 mix! Maybe we should start a vote on this one?! I'll give you a shout if I find one this weekend, Chris, but it is defo getting harder to track down over here! Last one I sold was £75 I think...which I think is a fair price.
  18. Suprised you don't have one already...the 100 Club used to be awash with them when Ady used to play it there. Never made that group connection...thanks for that.
  19. I sold a stone mint one a week or so ago...since which time I seem to be playing it daily on my iphone. Hmmm...maybe I should've kept it after it!? Are there any demos?
  20. Here's another acetate outta Texas...Prince Charles aka Charles Sheffield again? If you like Jazzy Soul / swinging R'n'B, then I suspect you're gonna like this...quite a bit!?! Unknown Artist - Days Are Numbered -
  21. I'm sure we'll get up to allsorts when he does get here in a couple of months He went to Vietnam on his last trip, but didn't find anything to write home about One thing is for sure, I find quality discs EVERY weekend in Japan (check out my sales pages!), but then again I've been here 6 years and know where to go, who to talk to and sellers contact me when they have something decent to offload
  22. I just had a flick through...questionable statements indeed on some of the titles
  23. Hi Chris, Agree that it was later than Constellation and there are genuine Bunky copies...but to clarify there is also defo a blue labelled Bunky bootleg as featured in JM's book. Hope you're well, squire, Flynny
  24. Fabulous sleevenote though I say it myself
  25. The orange speckled Bunky and the yellow Constellation scans have gotta be false...the font for the title/artist is incorrect on both! There was a plain blue labelled Bunky bootleg back in the 70s...scan in Manships book The original Bunky is sparse looking and came after the Constellation release...an expensive/rare 'reissue'..kinda like the Ivorys on Wand
