  1. Fabulous full-on NS dance track with an all-time classic Youth Club killah on the flip! Everyone must've owned a copy, or at least had a dance to the flipside over the years...timeless. Here it is on two other labels, on rather nice demo copies of wihch I found the Showtime WD in a shop last Sunday!
  2. The catalogue number on the white label copies has the letters, 'DJ' at the end (843L-8527DJ), so at a wild guess they are disc jockey copies? This was a big, big spin for Guy Hennigan during the mid-8T's, but soon copies flooded the (smaller than today) market place.
  3. Apart from the above, are there are other out-and-out Northern tracks on the label?
  4. I take it that was not recorded/signeed for, at that price? Was that also via airmail for reference?
  5. I recently donated my copy to a charity auction over here Hopefully some Motown collector over here will give generously
  6. I love it and used to have a Bell copy many moons ago. It is a track that really comes to life over a club PA rather than the home Hi-Fi...the way the wall of sound rolls along is superb complete with brass punches and fab group harmonies. There's also a more stripped down version in circulation that was born from an original Bell acetate from a collector in North London, as I recall...not as good as the finished take, mind.
  7. Yep, around £8 from the UK and more from Japan due to the exhange rate (@ £11.50). I still charge £5 per parcel even though it costs more...but the courier service I use has been great, so hey-ho! Plus my discs are reasonably priced, before anyone says anything!
  8. Good call...lovely feel good track (Bongi is Miriam Makeba's daughter...Judy is Buddah stalwart, Judy White.)
  9. Same credits on the WD...mmmmmm WD Must admit, I find that mistakes with spelling/credits usually happen on the picture sleeves, but not on the labels, when it comes to Japanese presses.
  10. I sold a WD last year for £25...they're also both on his fab LP on Vault...that also features an album only track, 'Head over heels', which is an excellent cross-over finger-snapper monster in the waiting (£40 if you want it!?).
  11. Interesting. The pressing plant is Rainbo (the machine stamped, 'R'), which is a West Coast, although the font and layout looks more like a Mid-West or East Coast press. The Chips sticker would also point towards the East (Phillie).
  12. Has his, 'Love Power' track on Motown ever received scene spins...quite a pleasant mover.
  13. Dottie Cambridge aka Dorothy Moore of The Poppies...here is an acetate I have by her, albeit the scan doens't bring out the typed artist/title too well...good danceable Northern both sides...and both unissued.
  14. The New Sounds LP on Turbo...as produced by George Kerr.
  15. A nice pair of Carl Carlton stock copies: 'I Can Feel it' and 'Competition Ain't Nothing'...both for sale!
  16. Nice, though I say it my self.
  17. My fave version of this much covered Motown song...nice'n'rare WD copy...mmmm!
  18. Quite Northern sounding dancer...from the TV series, 'Ironside' Edit: just spotted it on YouTube: https://youtu.be/UuogM8_iukE
  19. I can't believe no ones put this stomper up yet...liberated from a Japanese store this past weekend! I may consider sensible trades on this one
  20. Quite simply one of the best value for money, uptempo, storming, stomping, agro-Soul, in yer face thumpers there is! No smiling allowed when you dance to this one!
  21. The yellow one is the West Coast press on styrene and is also on a WD variant as well.
  22. Yup, a few surfaced over here as well...here's one of my faves from the short-lived 'Buddah R&B Series':
  23. ...and the stylish dude with blonde hair in the background is...
  24. https://youtu.be/aFK5vRTbPyI Shame he is lip-syncing Must admit Emanuel seems to have a higher/sweeter vocal style than the vocal performance on YGEFM?
  25. 'Hope We have' ...Japanese style!
