  1. I think you would look quite dashing in that 'smock', Tone Stuart, on the other hand, wants the tassled jacket...he told me...honest like
  2. Your heroes...cool dudes one and all!
  3. Be safe in the knowledge that I am keeping a stocker and a WD in my collection too! Sad I know, but hell I'm sure you understand...you do, don't you, I'm not the only one am I with this affliction, am I?! You got your copy framed up, Russ...hanging in the toilet or shed?
  4. I'll give it a week or so...UNLESS...someone makes me an offer I can't refuse that includes vinyl I need for myself (I'd be so lucky!)
  5. I put £100 on it hopefully reflecting great condition/rarity/quality track! What did the Manship auction copy go for in the end a few months back...anyone?
  6. Had someone email me and say that the Jackie Edwards I was offering was a second press (yes they also made a ££ offer). Naturally I am aware that JA companies were fond of repressing some tracks several times over, on different labels or blanks too...but...imo this is a definitive Wirl 1st press. Any thoughts?
  7. Had a few mails about the sleeves to Japanese releases, so thought I'd share this one with you all. Very frame-able and a MUST for the completist Ladies and gentlemen, Mr.Chuck Jackson...
  8. Really, have received several today, but nothing from your goodself!?
  9. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you a few pages of cyberspace dedicated to the club that rocked London between 1999 and 2004...yes it's the tribute pages to the... Capitol Soul Club pics scans reviews play lists >>> PRESS HERE - THE CSC PAGES <<< Enjoy...we did
  10. I've just updated the Sales pages over on Anorak's Corner>>> PRESS HERE <<< Lotsa new vinyl / styrene / acetates all mixed up ready to go James Wesley Smith - Talkin' 'bout Women Billy Floyd - My Oh My Homer Banks - Sweetie Pie Magic Tones - Solid Hit Lucky Charms - Sugarhill ...and a host of other family favourites, unissued acetates and a couple of Japanese issues too (The Capitol Soul Club tribute pages are also launched today too )
  11. If you want any Japanese presses, drop me a PM...7" and LP. They will be cheap if the project is worthy!
  12. Try: >>> HERE <<< Enjoy and feel free to add.
  13. May I suggest you listen to them again? Similar yes, but they are quite different recordings right from the off.
  14. So, what is their album worth which features both sides of this suddenly indemand track, which has been a favourite amongst the Japanese collectors for many moons?
  15. He cut quite a wedge of discs for Monument, most of which are of no interest to a Northern collector...but...this one seems to have slipped under the radar. If 50% of the Northern scene like his 'My baby's back' (too slow for the other 50%!), I reckon 75% will love this one by him (the other 25% preferring slowies!). It is an uptempo-bouncy feel-good Northern dance track with a wonderful long instrumental break!
  16. Willie Hutch - 'Your love has made me a man' Tami Young - 'Come back baby' Both are in excellent condition and play through perfectly. Both are classic Northern as featured on early Kent compilations. Time to blow the dust off these two! £25 each + P&P
  17. Don Gardner - 'Is this really love' / 'Tighten up your love bone' - Cedric Brilliant double-sider: spot on vibe-laden midtempo b/w R'n'B Northern worthy of more spins A conservative 'E' with no major marks...plays perfectly both sides. £185 + P&P...and I'll even chuck in a Verve demo of his 'I'm a practical guy' for no extra cost
  18. Jackie Edwards - 'Keep on running' - Wirl The original version from the man who wrote it. Great sax break and pure Northern Soul. Was a Manship auction piece recently. Original Jamaican press in great condition...a few minor marks but plays perfectly. £100 +P&P
  19. The Precisions - 'A place' - Drew Here's a nice one for label completists/West Coast press collectors. RCA WK4M and Monarch number stamped. Rare! £50 (inc P&P)
  20. Eddie Hill - ' I can hear you crying' - GeGe x2 copies up for grabs: Yellow label - E - £75 Beige label - M - £50 Both are vinyl and have all three (!) machine stamps: ZTSC number, Nashville Matrix and ARP. Thumping Detroit Stomper
