  6. between £60 and £75 for a stock copy although jm had it last week @£85 demo is £75+ although jm has auctioned it a couple of times and it went into the 100s also came out on spanish zafiro with a picture sleeve...... very nice indeed dave
  7. its a strange one isnt it. a couple of people close to me bought them from soul bowl around that time. and the first thing i noticed wasnt the misspelling but the typeface. out of all the millions upon millions of records abc put out with the same font. why was this one different all anorak stuff i know but does anybody else notice these things dave
  8. i never saw this until maybe 5 years ago. the font/typeface just doesnt look right to me. ive got loads of abc soul and pop records from the early/mid 7os including a vynil copy of your love. and the typeface of the you love copies are totally different. just an opinion of course but i would only buy one with the proper spelling............... or phillipino probe of course dave
  9. dont understand what all the fuss is about. wouldnt give tupence for it. one of the bottom 10 northern records IMHO dave
  10. well the vinyl is exactly the same on the black and silver demo as it is on the blue and silver issue.it might be his record but i would take what sammy says with a very large pinch of salt. unless someone wants to sell me one of those black and silver bootleg demos for a tenner dave
  11. quality.... why does nobody play this
  12. got to say " where have you been all my life" is probably my fave choon on the label carol williams "love is you" runs it close tho. top class dave
  13. sold mine for £30 a few years ago. i wish i hadent now. not very often i regret selling stuff. but theres about a dozen titles i let go . not the money either its finding the buggers dave
  14. fantastic chooon but not sure its fast enough to take the northern scene by storm dave
  15. svr 105 perfections - ilove you my love b/w am igonna lose you svr 106 durettes - sweet sweet love b/w tidal wave svr 106 durettes - sweet sweet love b/w perfections i love you my love might be a misspress or maybe promo purposes but all came out at the same time
  16. yestheres 5 years between the recordings, volcano`s end of 1964 and the ambassadors came out at the tail end of 1969 dave
  17. hi harry the white demo does exist. i had one thruout the 90s and then sold it to little john ullah who sadly is no longer with us. its white with black writing and he gave me £125 for it. in retrospect, thats was a lot of money for it. but its a rare piece IMVHO.the issue is more readily available.ive had 2 in the last 3 years. both came from the USA and were only $35 each. I kept 1 and sold one to mick waddington (soulful mick on here) for £40. I rate the issue at £75. I dont think its a common record tho dave
  18. I thought maybe a little more than that say between 4-500 quid cheaper on ebay possibly. it was £500 10 years ago and maybe a little out of fashion just now but its still a rare record dave
  19. what im saying is that 1 hes been very cagey and 2 no one knows the facts except mr spivens him or herself. time will tell. yes i do have a vested interest in the 45 and dont want to lose money cos im a pauper dave
  20. just magic malc. but to be honest i love guess who`s original version as well dave
  21. dont forget this record has been around a long time and im not disputing the quality of it. it just shades the arcades for me. only 4 on ebay that popsike has picked up but popsike dont pick everything up. all the top dealers have auctioned a copy in recent years since auctioning rare records became the norm. but what about all the years b4 that. ive seen at least 10 copies meself and i dont see bugger all compared to some. think i may have been a bit extreme with 100. but 10. your having a laugh I still think i made a good move keeping the fascinators. every body i talked to said i was insane if i went ahead with the deal dave
  22. and me......... ive already said my peice on page 1 and im dave p dp
  23. and the one m spivens has up is already over 700usd with still 6 days to go dave
  24. revilot1957 m spivens is the guy in detroit who has found some copies. its the third one he`s put on ebay although some guys have had second chance offers. the mafia guy is a one off up to now. lets not bandy the words "container load" about just yet. could be harmful to what is still a great record. lets see what happens eh remember a few dealers were selling the clara hardy 45 dave
