  1. thats the copy i have. at least i got a copy from carl in the mid 90s. it may well have been on ebay. ive only been on 5 years and ive never seen one and none have ever shown on popsike. Looks to me like theres nothing between them. its rare either way dave
  2. the esquires must have been struggling for material. as bob says the solo stuff was done well before the lp. my mill evan constellation 45 is date stamped 5 aug 1966. a whole year before the esquires get on up was released dave
  3. also it took them 5 years to release my sweet baby on a 45 albeit on the flip of henry ralph .this is a shocking tune and you can see why action in the uk decided to flip it over. the esquires lp is well worth picking up. it should be cheap on ebay and every tracks a winner dave
  4. hi kev tony said in his initial post that IGTHYL sounded like something else or maybe there was another version.to my ears it sounds like the spinners i`ll always love you. I dont know of another version of mill evans . like you say chris hamilton/pierre hunt sound nothing like mill evans. then i was just pointing out that i like the flip of IGTHYL. this is on the esquires LP get on up. it plays the same take as the 45.hope this helps cheers dave
  5. cant ever recall seeing one on ebay on either variation. JM had an admirations on auction must be 8 or 9 years ago when he first started them. i think mick h and mick smith have aspirations. i think carl willingham got chris kings admirations a few years ago. apart from that ive never seen anymore for sale dave
  6. Is the aspirations on peaches worth 4 times the amount as the admirations on peaches as some people would have you believe. As far as i can see neither shows up for sale what do you think?
  7. c`mon folks dig ur copies out and see if you dont start singing the spinners in the chorus Has anybody played the flipside recenly ` things are not the same`. absolutley tremendous it plays the same track on the esquires `get on up` lp. and its the official `A` side dave
  8. yes it does chalks but only on the original french ep from 1967.mines black anyway the dutch and spanish EPs are straight retreads of the 2 USA mgm 45s but the french one replaces youre good enough for me with im alive. dave
  9. do you not think it sounds a little bit like the spinners `i`ll always love you` particularly in the chorus. we recently bought a mint original white demo off ebay . it was cheap because the seller had very poor feedback. we thought we`d take a chance. when it came it looked brand new but it had a tiny crack on the run in . tried to contact the seller but they`ve been kicked off ebay. cant find no trace of them. ah well win some lose some. That said, for what it cost and it is a rare dj copy with stamp..........did we lose dave
  10. so whats this one worth then. plenty of man o mine`s and the deep city 45 on popsike
  11. looks like youve been very unlucky. i take it you want the original version on kama sutra and not maxine browns cover . hope someone on here comes thru for you. both good records dave
  12. i remember playing this at the wilton in the mid 90s. then selling it to wendy, saus`s girlfriend at the time.she pestered me to death for it £30 was the price. id love a copy back as well always regreted selling but thought her need was greater than mine dave
  13. make do with an original black EP not a 70s blue gold re issue dave
  14. cant recall ever having to turn mine up dave
  15. it says 1977 on the label dave
  16. if you have a good listen they were trying to emulate supremes back in my arms again that was a US no1 in june 1965 so its certainly not older than that. i think the dates on the parkway demos at the bottom are probably when the label was re registered. similar scenario to the m-pac stable of labels. they say 1963 on them but thats just when the labels started. dave
  17. its a great double sider but there does seem to be a copy for sale every day of the year somewhere or other. it should never ever have sold for more than a ton. what do these people smoke dave
  18. 150/170 pounds for the lot but a handful of those titles you would have trouble giving them away
  19. manship auctioned a chants uk demo recently. it made about 175 quid dave
  20. what guides are you lot looking at for the moses dillard. id have thought nearer 600 dave
  21. i was thinking nearer 300 times rarer than jeanette but maybe only sells for the same price. a much better record than jeanette IMHO and tough enough to be a thousand pounder dave
