  1. priceless
  2. it books quite high at 50pounds for some reason. but as mark says you should get a mutt and jeff, magnum or an mgm demo for less than 20quid on ebay. in fact there was an mgm demo on last week or maybe the week before and some lucky bugger took it for the opening bid of $9.99. tell u something tho` i`d be impressed if someone could scan up an mgm black issue dave
  3. major lance dont you know that i love you......chooon dave
  4. shut on wednesdays i think dave
  5. was not a fashionable record and i picked up a couple of copies on ebay for £20/25 mark a couple of years ago atfter originally giving dave raistrick £60 5 years ago for it. to be honest i havent seen one since. then suddenly it was on ian clarks list at £175 . and its on the lifeline playlists so it could and should be having its day. a great record and not common dave
  6. are there anymore releases apart from the delites and thornton sisters? dave
  7. bought one off andy dyson years ago for a fiver..........still a cheap record tho innit dave
  8. original one minute was black with anti skate rim. the boot had the same label but looked like an import. dave
  9. i thougt 3/350 but maybe more on rarity. lets prove them wrong reminds me of the bishop auckland rugby club niters. debbie taylors version on gwp is superb only steady mind but cheap and great dave
  10. yes i was there recently. its like alladins cave....... no organization but fun trawlling. i fitted a nando`s chicken shop out and its straight opposite but up a side alley. the alley is next to a kebab house. but your main focal point is the square with a big cathedral or something in it. sorry i cant remember the names of streets. i popped in every day and spent sbout 300 quid in all. dave
  11. was`nt samanthas finisher tony michaels love the life i lead dave
  12. yes i still love it. i like the 2k cd version as well. but then im easily pleased i like a lot o stuff and i mean A LOT O STUFF dave
  13. yeh probably done in 71/72 after uk copies were deleted and really before mass imports for info gimme made no9 on us charts but dangling 0nly 38 or summat like that dave
  14. so did we..........cant afford to now tho...... too dear dave
  15. yes i remember that bri. we looked at that wi a veiw to buy, 50 quid i think but changed our minds when we saw the labels. the `whos that` gives it away its like meeting an old friend dave
  16. would agree with you on the rarity john but if you auctioned a `fine fine` & `ocean` together i think youd get more for fine. in these credit crunch days u might not get a grand for either dave
  17. its a great record chalks............ but it sounds pop and it sounds white im sure not all black singers thought `i cant sound too black or i might not get out of this town` they wanted to make money and sell some records. Obvious point i know but colour not important to a great tune it just seems better when its a big black fella with an afro rather than a little white dude wi glasses dave
  18. if you get offered anything near 75ukp i should let it go wendy dave
  19. bloody hell i had 2 spares of that a couple of weeks ago at 25 quid...... wonder why they sold quickly its a great version tho. b side tears can only make the problem wet is great deep soul and hard to come by dave
  20. i think matt is on about the valentines re issue davie dave
  21. you asked a serious question so i`ll try and give you a straight answer. 75 quid for frank popp although jm had it last week for 150. we all know that this tune came out in 2001 and you could order it from the distributor for a fiver right up until jm auctioning a copy a couple of years ago when it went for 450 or something like . i too saw that valentines on orange and black 77 for 50 and thrice . some confused people eh dave
  22. the original has a great version of `39 -21-46`on the flip. the reissue has `got to be a reason` instrumental doesn`t it dave
  23. im sure pat brady had a red issue in the early 90s. he had £300 on it when it was a £40 demo and i think pat would know the difference between original red stock copies and the special product thingies dave
  24. the uk copy plays the same as the album around 4 mins i think. on the usa copy they shortened it by about 30 seconds. gypsy had other stuff out earlier on rca so i should like to know where this `local` release comes from. it made 70 odd on the pop charts but didnt make the soul charts coz basically its not a soul record ............ its still very good tho isnt it dave
