  1. shifty had two copies of this recently. 1 was mint at 2k other was vg at 1k ithink dave
  2. i do agree the easy option is to say that the red text copies were withdrawn because of the mispelt artist credit and then correct it on the blue copies.it sold very well in philadelphia so they probably let the red text copies out anyway. being a small set up they couldnt afford not to sell them. remember it came out on lost nite and also on the collectables. im just trying to keep an open mind on the first issue 2nd issue talk because some people assume the harder release is always the first issue and that aint right. all phil la copies are original anyway. dave
  3. the lp is at my mums. i will try and get my son to help me scan it and put it up. could be next week tho dave
  4. did you get my pm doog dave
  5. my mate mick waddington found a few yellow label copies and i got one from him but i was always suspicious of the cover. like i said the cover seemed to be like a photo copied sleeve. anyway about a year later i bought another one but the label is a picture label of a black woman with her boobies out and not yellow. the cover is darker not blurred and the writing is clear as well. also the yellow label cover has a stain on it but its a photocopy stain coz its on all the covers of the yellow label copies. the vinyl is the same on both issues tho. it was played as a new so the yellow copies are probably represses and they must have lost the original artwork and just took pictures of the original cover to repress the LP. i think the original picture label is quite rare. picking up a yellow copy should be easy dave
  6. blue first and red second..........altho red is rarer

  10. tantip the original 45 of your uncles this wont change was issued in 1967 on the labeat label in detroit as was the masqueraders how 45. they were seperate singles. in the late 70s they were discovered here in the uk by underground soul music fans and thats when your uk grapevine 45 comes from. it was issued in the uk in 1979 or 1980 for the uk soul fans but didnt sell too well hence the 50 pound price tag. the two labeat 45s from the 1960s are worth considerably more. the labeat copies are maroon and the uk grapevine copy is yellow. hope this helps dave

  20. 1071 is probably a reissue a couple of years down the line to tie in with her solo career after she left the sensations but i dont think she had any solo sucess. the sensations did have a national rnb/pop hit with let me in in 1962 but it was downhill all the way after that dave
