  2. after leaving motown in 1968 they were on t-neck in the states until 1985 the t neck stuff being issued in the uk on major minor and then the stateside label. their uk output issued in the uk on epic started with the 3 + 3 lp in 1973.from 1985 they were on warner brothers. i dont think they were ever officially signed to epic in the states.isley jasper isley were signed to cbs asc in the mid 80s tho dave

  4. yeh the boot has the allrights of the manufacturer stuff around the edge.has it got anti skate round the label as well dave
  5. and its on plastic as opposed to styrene original.is it a boot or a genuine re issue from when it first went massive.coz if its a fake bell sound stamp they could have done it with hundreds of others but they havent dave
  6. just picked up a mint demo for 30quid but it was from a mate locally. that said he also let me have a mint metros demo for 60..........just couldnt leave em at half price dave
  7. its the green boot on styrene with an MR + delta stamp from 1976 with the same label design as the original only green with black writing. probably only worth 15UKP but you never know dave
  8. original is yellow either way mick.havent got my copy to hand.the catolgue number looks right tho. i love the original version from 1972 by seals and croft on warner brothers also dave

  10. i recall there being one on ebay about 3 years. i take it you mean you said yeah on del val. it made around 2000 dollars.popsike dosent show all the expensive stuff. anthony and the delsonics has been on at least twice but no copies on popsike dave

  12. does crop up on ebay from time to time but the condition is usually down on them. i think the one JM had was near mint and at £300 it was a steal. 15 years ago it was a £500 record. but in 2009 you might get a vg copy for £150 on ebay. keep looking mate. im sure you`ll drop on one dave
  13. there was another al wilson who was in canned heat who died of a drug overdose in 1970. but his voice was very distinctive also so chances are it wasnt him who did the wand 45. i also had a heated argument some years ago with someone who said the AW on soul city and AW on rocky ridge/playboy were two different fellows........................ dave

  15. if youve got the cash and know where to look its a 45 you can pick up any day of the week. not rare at all first half of the record is great but for some reason the second half has me reaching for the stylus dave

  22. yeh it depends what you want to own it on £25 for the orange 70s re issue £150ish for the original w/demo from 1966 £300ish for an original black issue if youre lucky enough to find one dave
  23. all the demo`s ive seen are the mf 1122 original from 1969 and all have had middles cut out. but there are original issues with full centers.it was reissued in 1971 on a 7 digit number with and without centers but i personally have never seen a reissue demo. this reissue was on catalogue for a few years with the early copies on paper labels and then on ink labels dave
  24. ive got a uk demo of this and a usa demo of the reflections. both sound great to these ears with billy davis just shading it maybe. dave
  25. as our bri said we seem to have come across more gold copies. i think ive only seen 3 pink and white copies, none of them mint.i think you`d get the same no matter the label design dave
