  1. FUNNILY ENOUGH THE RECORD LISTED ABOVE IT ON GEMM WAS `THATS THE PRICE YOU HAVE TO PAY` WHICH WAS $12.99 WHEN I LOOKED 2 SECONDS AFTER READING THE THREAD. A CASE OF MISTAKEN IDENTITY I`D SAY .WHILE THIS RECORD IS NOT RARE,(IVE HAD FIVE COPIES OF IT). ITS NOT COMMON EITHER. AND WE OUGHT REALLY NOT TO LOOK DOWN OUR NOSES AT THESE 45S DAVE SUNDAY CHILL OUT 14TH DECEMBER HORSE AND GROOM PUB EAST LAITH GATE DONCASTER FROM 12 NOON

  5. just listening to the record make me not believe that. plus his other 45 on dade is clean up man.the same as betty wright. in parts it really does lean on stevie and thats summer 69 dave
  6. more a safe bet to say 100 quid.. the old northern soul rule. 1k if you want one 2k if youre selling one dave
  7. does appear to be the norm these days doesnt it, to wail rather than to sing. although i do like a bit of modern soul. its the same as any genre to sift thru the dross for the good stuff dave
  8. it is pete.but all that hopeless unecessary rubbish is important to me as it is the rest of us dave
  9. but bobby and jimmie are not rubbish NS records in the ear of the beholder. after all it was just an opinion the guy starting the thread rates jimmie highly and never said it was rubbish. also its my perogative to talk rubbish. its a free country for the time being. in your 20 million posts pete 99% you talk sense but the other percent you too are guillty of making hopeless and unecessary comments like the one about jimmie bo dave
  10. i ve heard that the appreciations its better to cry on sport is not actually them at all and not even a detroit recording. any body else heard anything or is that rumour total bollox
  11. DID ANYBODY ACTUALLY HAVE A FAB VEGAS 45 IN THE 70S OR 80S? OR IS IT ANOTHER 10 YEAR OLD RELEASE FROM AN OLD TAPE DAVE
  12. trust you pete. theres crap ska reggae and and soul records aplenty out there. but jimmie bo and bobby are pure pieces of magic IMVHO. mind you i cant stop playing adam wades rain from the skies so i guess im easily pleased dave SUNDAY CHILL OUT 14TH DECEMBER HORSE AND GROOM PUB EAST LAITH GATE DONCASTER CENTER TWINS AND JOE LAKIN WITH GUESTS MICK WAD, LITTLE AV GARY SMITH AND HOWARD

  15. seen 3 copies on ebay in the last year or so. 2 on usa ebay both went for around the $450 mark and one on ebay uk that was 180 quid. but probably worth between 250/300 quid. shouldnt really sell for anymore really dave SUNDAY CHILL OUT HORSE AND GROOM PUB EAST LAITH GATE DONCASTER. 14TH DECEMBER
  16. not 1967 but 1970/71 and rely`s very heavily on stevies my cherie amour sean chapman gave carl willingham 2and half grand for it last year. so its a safe bet to say that it is a 2k record dave
  17. he also sang on charles wright 100 watts bands loveland on warner brothers which is not a million miles from his own ` got to find my baby` on cream. think he wrote both tracks as well.both brilliant crossover and cheap too dave
  18. I have german copies in pic sleeves of freddie hubbard on fantasy and the chargers on vanguard did they come out in any other countries? dave
  19. you got too many gil scott heron records and need to be relieved of one immediatly dave
  20. IS THE G C CAMERON ON JAMILLA STILL AVAILABLE
  21. bearing in mind that i want my baby back made the rnb charts in the states and look at me now didnt if were looking at price tags dave
  22. was it booted on jerhart? i just thought it was common with several label variations and sold very well stateside, which is probably why it came out on president over here as its a contemporary release. I also think its the first label but not sure if impression is b4 mica or vice versa. dave
  23. in the 90s i saw about 2 dozen copies of ree flores for sale snapping one up myself. but i never saw a copy of little willie faulk. i only knew that by the likes of ted massey playing it. JM says its ten years since he had a copy of RF. but in 2002 john gave me £400 for it which was a good price and i only sold it because i thought it will never go any higher in a million years . obviously he sold it quickly for a profit dave
