all the demo`s ive seen are the mf 1122 original from 1969 and all have had middles cut out. but there are original issues with full centers.it was reissued in 1971 on a 7 digit number with and without centers but i personally have never seen a reissue demo. this reissue was on catalogue for a few years with the early copies on paper labels and then on ink labels

as our bri said we seem to have come across more gold copies. i think ive only seen 3 pink and white copies, none of them mint.i think you`d get the same no matter the label design

according to jm`s new book monique and TL are both £500 . id av thought monique more than that and TL less. rivetting reading anyway with a few suprises on the way
dave
im sure it was done at the same time as the grapevine copies and used for promotion. that said its much harder to locate on satiron these days. i sold mine for £30 about 5 years ago and wish i hadent. its probably double that now. also on the flip you get the vocal to like a rolling stone( not the dylan song thank god) which i thinks also great and not on the grapevine copy
dave
no the one i had was ok . always sold em tho. the only one i got left is the garland green
oops just checked. it was the hamptons i had. memory fading
dave
thanks for that sebastian. i was always hopeless at writing letters. thats pretty much what i wanted to say
theres always a difference. down to the type of vinyl, type of paper, the markings and thats just on the not so obvious reissues
dave
so then.when were they done. bearing in mind al mason has been brought into the equasion. thats 20 years old. legally done and you never see it. nobody else noticed them b4 and mostly what are the differences because theres not been a 100% perfect boot done yet
dave
richard searling in early 80s use to play it from time to time.ive certainly got a tape of it on radio hallam from 1982. thats the first i heard of it. also found a copy for one pound fifty soon after
dave
hip to your ways has always been a rare stock copy with the instrumental on the flip but if you shop around you might be able to pick up a demo for around 40 ukp. you`d be pushed to get im not ready for less than 300 even on ebay. didnt jm get over 600 in auction for it a couple of years ago . both top tunes which ever way you look at it
dave
wish id bought the finyl vinyl one from gary welch a few years ago when he was selling for £80 thought long and hard about it but took summat else from him. still looking and i would make do with a bunky one but not for £200 and i cant be bothered with trading. i feel the need to keep everything right now
dave
the ones from 1969/70/71 the black and white ones are west coast and usually delta stamped on styrene
