  7. in the 90s i was with chris holmes from york when he bought a red copy from dave raistrick at cleethorpes. i think he paid 150 for it or something like that. if he didnt take it i was going to have the bugger. i heard him play it at the wilton and other do`s round the york area for the next couple of years but he appears to have retired from djing which is a shame because he always did good spots. i think he still has it tho.probably got played b4 then tho.dave may have played it himself but chris is the only one in my time on the scene who played it regularly. also pete lowrie played it at bishop auckland rugby club.never bothered with the blue copy even when it was a fiver dave SUNDAY CHILLOUT 1ST MARCH HORSE AND GROOM PUB EAST LAITH GATE DONCASTER WITH BRI AND DAVE PINCHES, JOE LAKIN ,MICKWAD AND GUESTS THE FRIENDSHIP BOYS MARK AND GEORDIE

  17. as tony rounce says, some releases had been issued on uk labels b4. but all releases were made a couple of years, in some cases 5 or 6 years b4 they came out in the uk. so looking at it that way it was one of the first reissue labels dave sunday chill out. 1st march, horse and groom pub east laith gate doncaster with bri and dave pinches, joe lakin, mick waddington+ guests ian johnson and white markley
  18. i know its had a lot of plays in recent times but i thought the invitations was a tad expensive dave
  19. its easy really. the first 50 odd issues were blue with dark blue writing, virtue scratched etc. they all look the same. as i said the later ones have black writing. some of the better selling ones were pressed up on the west coast. these are styrene with delta stamps starting with a 5,6 or 7.the rarer pieces on styrene are boots (kenny gamble, billy floyd etc) i think some of these are delta stamped but start with a 9 or 10 dave sunday chill out. 1st march, horse and groom pub, east laith gate doncaster town center with bri and dave pinches, joe lakin, mick waddington and howard + guests the friendship boys, ian `geordie` johnson and mark whiteley
  20. not sure about that. some of the later ones from circa 1969/70 have blue labels with black writing. i.e the ambassadors storm warning has. ive had 4 copies of this including a white demo, all with black writing. also there are west coast copies like babs masons yes im ready and bobby is my baby on styrene blue issues with black writing. these are originals dave
  21. always reminded me of bimbo jet
  22. not sure john. all ive got now is the original usa demo which is mono/stereo. i used to have the uk copy and much to my detriment i never played the flip (work it out). the b side of the original usa 45 is called `time` and ive heard its ok but i havent heard it. work it out was a seperate 45 in the states. in 87 say you love me girl was the `A` side. i can remember it being reviewed in blues and soul. dave sunday chill out 1st march horse and groom pub east laith gate doncaster with dave and bri pinches, joe lakin, mick waddington and guests the friendship boys ian johnson and mark whiteley
