  1. at £200 it probably looked shagged and played wi a bit of surface noise, fine for djing as they say a minty deffo £800 to £1000 and a bit more for a green un. there was a issue on here for £1500 a few months ago. dave sunday chill out 1st anniversary 16th aug. horse and groom pub, east laith gate doncaster. promoters birthday bash with guests bob beasley and chris dalton
  2. grand
  3. you should get a stock copy with the brilliant ` this time ` on the flip for less than £150. totally awesome IMVHO dave
  4. david castle is a pop record although a nice one. i bought it for the A side ten to eight when it came out in 1977 it was a small usa hit (no 68) and noel edmunds used to play it at ten to eight every morning before i went to school. the B side `finally` is a bit pop northern i suppose. only worth a fiver even on a uk copy i would have thought dave
  5. some nice prices there. you shouldnt have any trouble shiftin some of those dave
  6. has the uk bell copy from 1968 got the same track listing or is it a different lp altogether. i havent got my uk copy to hand dave sunday chill out 16th aug horse and groom pub east laith gate doncaster 1st anniversary and birthday bash for all four promoters with guests bob beasley and chris dalton

  9. came out on polydor in the uk in 1976 also dave
  10. cupids inspirations decent pop version was 1968 so was the lena junoff`s version so i would have thought LA`s version was at the latest early 1968 dave
  11. yes i bought one for £200 in the mid 90`s surely it not that rare tho. there were a few kickin about and still turns up from time to time dave
  12. supply outstippin demand dave
  13. think thats right webby early sept 1970 top 3 both invictus releases and tears of a clown. loads of soul and reggae in the charts then. look at the top40 now eh.....................full of absolute junk. are we getting old or is music today(well most of it) just...........junk dave

  15. not totally sure mark as i tend to underprice the records ive known/had for years. ive seen probably half and half of the kay-o copies and more often than not they show up with wear . i think maybe £75 for a nice demo maybe a tad less for a stock. but im prepared to be told im wrong dave sunday chill out 16th aug, horse and groom pub, east laith gate doncaster, with guests chris dalton and bob beasley + regular spinners
  16. a boot or certainly a reissue they have 80`s/90`s vinyl and the font gives it away dave sunday chill out 16th aug with guests bob beasley and chris dalton + regular spinners joe lakin, bri pinch, dave pinch, mick wad, & howard ( who all have birthdays )
  17. thats it. everybody be mailing him now to see if he`s got any copies of his 45 dave
  18. i bought a sound impression copy with archer stamp for £80 in early 90`s so it must have been much cheaper in the 70s and 80`s. only thought it became big money about 5 years ago when JM auctioned it and it quadrupled dave sunday chill out 16th august with the birthday boys dave, bri ,joe and mick + guests bob beasley and chris dalton
  19. i think its quite rare on mercury. the kay o copies have always shown up over the years but it rarely shows up on mercury. in the guide tho JM rates the kay o one more expensive probably coz he`s had a copy or two since he started the books. the mercury copy hasn`t altered probably coz he hasnt had one in 10 years and you cant update everything dave sunday chill out 16th august with guests bob beasley and chris dalton with the usual suspects (birthday boys)
  20. but they still would have sold a few to the public and copies would have been trashed or maybe a little bit beat (like my issue of jessie james with the previous owners name on it). i cant think of a r n b chart record that is rare jessie james, beloyd, bottom and co certainly arn`t dave
  21. larry graham one in a million you sam dees show must go on john rowles if i only had time...............or maybe this is just smaltz. drying me eyes now dave

  23. think you`re right on the money there seb. i have looked for a 12 of yes you need love and never seen it so it was probably shelved. but lets face it , neither side was `disco` enough to warrant a 12 release dave
  24. think the one JM auctioned was a stock copy roger dave
  25. it made no59 on the pop charts in 1974 (r n b no10) so as sebastian says a big seller on release. if its got their version of james taylor`s dont let me be lonely tonight on the flip all copies are original. the original promo is mono/stereo and there are at least 2 different variations of that as well as a white label original test pressing the boots have another atlantic classic on the flip im sure dave bentinck back room 19th june
