the yellow and green one is styrene and delta stamped west coast presses. white ones are east coast i think and vinyl dave

its quite a tough 45 this one. hade it on a tape from johnno (soulcarp) about 10 years ago and probably only seen a couple of copies no idea of price tho maybe £50/60 dave

not really any exceptions with major label demos. yes if you collect stock copies its trickier but demo`s unless there is a particular reason ( withdrawn or whatever). lets face it the internet makes a mockery of what we call rare soul dave

i know we take people at face value but i cant believe you lot didnt spot it from the off.the `armchair` bit did it for me. ive seen brownie at venues a hand ful of times in 25 years and i just had that gut feeling and seeing as how tims been selling some of his own stuff via auction in the last year or so. i suppose as long as the more flush soulies among us get their big wants it dont matter where the source is as long as its legit. dave

the reason you find lots of beaters of this 45 is that it sold well enough to the public to chart. actuall y sold more than look at me now..........................................and thats saying summat dave

YEH IDKWILY WAS STILL THE OFFICIAL A SIDE IT WAS NOT REISSUED AS SUCH. AS FOR THE KT THING THAT WAS JUST ON EMI STUFF ANYWAY. DONT THINK IT HAS ANY BEARING REALLY ON A OR B SIDE DAVE

when it came out idont know why i love you was the `A` side. it made 14 on the uk charts (apr 1969). as it was slipping out the charts the flip started to get some exposure in the states so they flipped it over and it started to go back up the charts getting higher with my cherie amour. so they decided to try the same thing in the uk. the same thing happened my cherie made no 4 over here and by the time this was in the top 5 (aug 69) EMI stopped putting sold in uk on the center of the 45s. and the title shortened on this 45 when they flipped it over. so the initial chart run of i dont know why it has the long title + sold in uk on center and a couple or 3 months down the line when MCA was the A side the sold in uk text is missing and IDKWILY was shortened to IDKW. am i making sense here:hypo: dave SUNDAY CHILLOUT. IN 199I BOTH ME AND OUR BRI WERE ON THE DOLE FOR A SPELL AND SKINT BUT WE WENT OUT ONE NIGHT TO THE WELFARE HALL SOUL NIGHT IN GOLDTHORPE, PAID TO GET IN, BOUGHT A PINT. BOX OF 45`S THERE. PULLED OUT A GENE WOODBURY EVER AGAIN ON DEL VAL MINT £20 AND THAT WAS US. ENOUGH FOR 1 MORE PINT EACH AND NO MONEY FOR TAXI SO WE HAD TO WALK. ONLY 2 MILES THO AND WE HAD A GENE WOODBURY. HAPPY DAYS DAVE
