when rca took over the rights of motown in 1982 they gave the gordy label its own imprint in the uk. they did this for about 5 or 6 years i think. theres lots of releases................... stone city band, debarge, el debarge, val young etc
dave
look at popsike. about 50/50 on there. people can talk all they want but popsike gives you a fair idea. quality as it is tho its turned out to be a really common 45 sadly

not sure about that benji. when this 45 turned up in the uk in the late 90`s they were all vinyl issues. i got sick of people pushing them in front of my nose. also later on in the oakland find a few boxes of styrene mint issues surfaced and thats why the value really dipped. not because of ebay. i agree that the demo is not that rare because its a major label at the end of the day. but look at popsike. its about 50/50 on there. still a great 2 sider tho
dave
see what ur saying bro...................... more demos than issues on popsike ............ only just tho, but out and about see more issues in sales boxes
dave
it was issued as an `A` side and made no92 on usa pop charts in april 1964. the flip is look over your shoulder. then it was issued as `B` side of since i dont have you and made no 47 pop in december 1964. all original issues are the scans above black & white labels with red text atho some look a little different coz they were made at different pressing plants
dave
main string is green. im sure some of the others are too. i dont think anyone knows 100% for certain tho on this one which is first but soul bowl did have the yellow one in quantity in the early days
dave
the original on bronco was cheap until recently now its £50+. it sold well tho as did its 1st issue uk counterpart and this is £40+. the president reissue with vertical text is pretty common tho and should only be a tenner in my opinion but you see this at all sorts of prices but i just think that folks arnt armed with the knowledge. orig usa and uk promo are nice and rare tho

president started issuing 45s from july 1966 the johnny wyatt from oct 66 on 109 ties in perfectly. things like johnny wyatt. the casinos`, jimmy robins were contemporary releases as was all early president releases. it was only from around 130 at the tail end of 67 that reissues or things that were a couple of years old started to appear. as mick holdsworth says the copy he posts above is the original with horizontal text on the artist. all president releases from 66/67/68 look like this. there is no variation. from 1969 onwards they started wth smaller text and vertical text for the artist right thru the 70s
