  2. i doubt that vintage soul EP was licenced. probably worth £6-700 today on big hit but fetched double that pre ebay days. one of the legendary `detroit derarified by ebay` 45s.copies are usually a bit beat up making me think that it was a small hit around detroit in 1968. my old signed copy that came from gilly is now with the steele brothers in barnsley. also worth picking up by black nasty on the `talking to the people ` on enterprise from1973:hatsoff2: dave
  3. chambers brothers, time has come today.............................stuff with guitars in rather than horns:thumbsup: dave

wasnt this his common one on the label some years ago. always remember seeing it at £20. but then again it was his 45 on the label that got plays. in 2010 £75 seems realistic but we all know whats happened to bileo, king tutt zz & company etc although the zz represses seem to be killing that one off a bit at the moment. lets see what john gets and knock a third off dave
  6. TOO RIGHT BAZ, LIKE THE MORE COMMON 45`S ON BIG TOP, TOP TEN AND RCA. SERIOUSLY THOUGH, THERE`S A FEW SINGLES BY THE DYNAMICS ON BLACK GOLD AND IT COULD BE EASLY LOST IN WITH THEM. EVERY TIME I LOOK FOR IT WHICH IS QUITE OFTEN( SAD REALLY) THERES LOTS OF 45`S BY THEM ON BLACK GOLD INCLUDING YOU`RE THE ONLY ONE DEMOS WHICH DONT HAVE WOE IS ME ON THE FLIP. DAVE
  7. NOT FOUND ONE ON EBAY. COM FOR 5 YEARS OR SEEN ONE ON A UK DEALERS LIST IN THAT TIME. ITS CERTAINLY ONE OF THE RARER 45 `S ON THE LABEL BY TODAYS STANDARDS. NOT SURE WHAT DEMAND FOR THIS IS THESE DAYS THOUGH IF IT WERE PLAYED IN THE RIGHT ROOMS IT WOULD BE MORE THAN A FIVER. STOCK COPY ONLY AND THE í¢"š¬`SIDE NEVER MADE THE RNB CHARTS EITHER DAVE
  8. THERE IS A PICTURE SLEEVE WITH IT JOHN I WILL FETCH IT TO THE CHILLOUT DAVE
  9. SAME TIME DIFFERENT PRESSING PLANT I THINK DAVE
  10. IS IT DIFFERENT TAKE?????? SOUNDS EXACTLY THE SAME TO ME MAYBE PIANO A BIT MORE TO THE FORE MIND YOU IT WAS A FIFTY QUID 45 LAST TIME I OWNED ONE OF THESE DAVE
  11. me and brian also looked for this on saturday after being told this was on a 45 and we came up with zero.so this is a timely thread. cheers dave

  16. richie, its a belgian copy( i think) of the tams this precious moment on the supreme label. belgian , because it says SABAM on the label ??. there one of the major lance how can you say good bye on this label as well as the drifters that came out on sounds south. there should be a you tube link to it dave
  17. I HAVE A RED SOUNDS SOUTH COPY AS WELL BUT WHEN I SAW THIS I THOUGHT IM NOT LEAVING IT JUST IN CASE. ITS THE SAME COUPLING AS THE USA COPY AND THE ORIGINAL DRIFTERS ON SOUNDS SOUTH IS ALSO ON THIS LABEL. DAVE

i think it just stayed on catalogue coz ive seen the early sixties black label design as well. at the turn of the 70`s there`s a yellow oldies series reissue of it too:thumbsup: dave

it probably goes under the radar as far as far as popsike is concerned. it was a small pop hit and a fair sized R n B hit on chess & i think it came out twice ?????. the motown 1st release is much rarer and then chess picked it up for national release. chess demo is nice though not sure of price on that dave
  22. is that a large definately sebastain......................were you at the session or something. not convinced about it being the same group as the chex /vip outfit altho it does sound as though it could be 65 rather than 68 . was the rampart copy issued in 68 or is that earlier dave
